I hope you cant put a tracker on any car......you know that annoying little squirt that side swipes or rear ends you?

Track him but leave him be and when he's home in bed blow up his car :D

Not much point in that as the car would most likely be insured by Aviva.

Go after him and gun the f*cker down I say!!

EDIT: I just realized, we're in the 10's lads :pac:

is many shop going to be open for mid night release because there only one problem i can see with that is everyone in my town is planning on getting on mid night release and of course evrybody know that, that includes the thieves that would wait outside to snatch the game from lone stragglers who have a bit of walk home like me so am i safer to wait to the next day but take risk of it being sold out or get it mid night realese but run that risk i just mentioned

What part of the country do you live in? Keep the game hidden in a bag etc when you leave the shop and just power walk it. Can you get a friend or someone to go with you/drive? I do empathise though, I had a 2 mile walk home through the centre of Manchester when I bought my PS3, which sadly HMV didn't have a bag for, so it was obvious to all what I had bought. Never been so petrified in me life:D

Firstly, you have to have it pre-ordered, and paid in full, to get it at midnight. (no monetary transactions in the stores at that time of night)
Secondly, if you have it pre-ordered, you don't HAVE to go at midnight, you can collect it when you like the following day :)
Thirdly, I've never ever been to a midnight release and would love to see what kind of buzz is around them :D

    I can imagine!
Was it just the box that you had, or did you have games and peripherals also in a huge tangly mess, whilst fast walking for your life?? :)

The initial reason for getting the PS3 was due to a GTA IV bundle they had. Thankfully I had my backpack so the games/extras went into that, although the box was mainly black, having PLAYSTATION 3 emblazoned on each side really added to the tension.:pac: Sadly the git behind the counter couldn't even locate a binbag for me! In fairness it was the middle of the day like, but still, you can't be too careful walking about with valuables on show incase any chancer takes a shine to ya!

    Anyways:

That doesn't make sense, I got Gear of War 3 at a midnight launch in Gamestop and paid for it there and then without any hassle.

Sorry Benzino, like in my 3rd point, I've never been to a midnight launch and I just got that nugget of info from earlier in this thread, and also the midnight launches thread.

    Sorry if it's wrong :)

Maybe they have changed their policy, so you could be correct. But it'd be very odd in my opinion if they didn't take cash at the launch.

I assume it varies business to business too.
If I hadn't seen it in the threads I would never have assumed that there was a no cash policy at midnight launches!

Hopefully, I am wrong, or there'll be a few disappointed people out there on September 17th :(

On the pre-order side, for those that are paying off all the game, you will have a balance of €65 on it. This is purely a case of playing it safe as they do not want to be taking in money on the night. In Ballina, they are opening at 10-ish and at that stage, they will give money back if necessary, and take payments midnight/until they run out of copies and then at midnight, they will begin to give out copies of the game. You MUST present your receipt at the till to receive your game, they will take it and then you receive your game.

Gamestop have always taken money at the tills at midnight launches. With no communication of this on thier Facebook page I'd say its something that somebody made up.

does anyone know how long Gamestop usually take to deliver if they have a game in stock to send out?

    Depends where you live.

With standard shipping, you'll probably get it release day in a major city or town. In a rural area, you should be OK, but it can happen that it takes until the next day.
I usually get my preorders on release day in a rural area, but it has happened that it's taken that extra day.

Priority shipping pretty much guarantees release day delivery.

Thanks, it should be ok then. But I might go for the dearer shipping just to be safe

I've just finished max payne 3. I found it quite clunky to be honest so I'm hoping R* have improved the combat a lot for GTA V

    This sounds great...
Michael, Franklin and Trevor each have their own unique Special Ability, which can be activated once each of them fills up the Special Ability bar based on various actions. Michael is an expert marksman - his Special Ability slows down time in a gunfight allowing him to pick off his targets with greater ease. Franklin is a skilled driver with sharp reflexes - his Special Ability lets him slow down time while driving any road-based vehicle, allowing him to quickly navigate through traffic with ease and take corners at high speeds. Trevor is a drug-addled sociopath with a short fuse - his Special Ability sends him into a rage, causing double damage to enemies while only taking half as much damage himself when hit. With the boost that's included in both the Special and Collector's Editions, the Special Ability bar will generate 25% faster.

Oooh, I thought the boost was only available in the CE.
Good to hear it's also in the SE, which I am getting :D

Unrelated to GTA but to Rockstar : they are having a publisher sale on Xbox Live at the moment. I see Bully here for €3.74! :D
