Has anyone thought about the rats and other rodents? There probably everywhere now. Ew.

Nearly accidently killed about 5 toads/frogs yesterday outside my apartment, the rain causes them to come out, not sure why???

I took the high path along the north side of the Dodder near Milltown this morning: the water had been at least 4m above its normal level at some point: there was rubbish in the trees at head height in some locations. The cottages on the side didn't get hit - perhaps a quick surge to door height, no more - but had I been living there I would have been very worried.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

Traffic was moving grand on the M1 and Port Tunnel, but the bridge beside the East Wall was pretty badly flooded. It's started raining again, hope it's ok at half 5 :(

I'm still at home. Reshecduled todays appointments as people can't really get to me anyway. Bit crap since I don't get paid but people wouldn't have bothered coming out in this anyway.

Edit: It's still lashing here. Clondalkin was unreal last night coming out of work. Burst pipes everywhere.

Evacuated last night out of my apartment, the river was close to breaking point and was about to break its banks. Crazy **** altogether, it happened so fast too.

Saw the best thing ever yesterday. Driver and passenger shout to a pedestrian that they're gonna soak him then the car stalls in the water.

Just heard on Tom Dunne that the clampers were out in Ballyfermot today clamping abandoned cars.

Bear in mind, the average rainfall for October in Dublin is 70cm. Yesterday it was almost 95cm alone. This is a freak nature occurrence, and these scumbags are taking advantage.

Does anyone know how much it is to get into Dundrum Town Water Park?
