Sign of the times! Perhaps an unintended effect might be a reduction in theft from domestic oil tanks?

Really depends on what temp you have stat at.
Turn it down to the last, turn off non-essential rads around the house, stick on an extra layer or two and it will last forever.
    :-)

We got 350 litres of oil last week for €300 from Ballindine Oil. Rang around a lot of companies at the time and they were a few cent cheaper.

1000 litres = €840 from Elite Oil in Belclare

Holy mother of eternal succour - I'm going to have to go on the game to keep the family warm.

    I ordered 600 litres on 4th March, €480.
Supplier was TOP in Belclare, formerly O'Gradys Oil.

I have no connection with the website, TOP or O'Gradys Oil.

Pitty it only lets you select Kerosene, i'd be interested in getting bulk green diesel (1000l)

Hi, trying to get organized for the winter ahead of time this year if I can.

Where is the cheapest place to order a tonne of coal to be delivered? Would there be much diff in cost picking it up yourself in a trailer?

Also want to bulk buy turf/briquettes - anyone seen good deals around for bundles?

    cheers

I paid €120 for four hundred kilos from the depot out Carnmore Cross. Picked it up myself. Great stuff it was too.

I'd be interested to know the cheapest place for bags of coal and bales of briquettes.

    I've seen 10 bales for €30 somewhere

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭amiable

Maybe people can post how much they paid per 500 litres or 1000 litres like the thread that was running last winter?:)

Ps, i'll be calling around tomorrow morning so i'll post the best i can find then.
    Don't forget to haggle people
