    Toulon did enough.
Montferrand are back to being the 'nearly men'.

Clermont becoming as big bottlers as pre 2006 munster

Wow. Toulon played well in the end, but I just feel so sorry for Clermont.

Very, very disappointing. I think while I think Clermont have the most talented team in Europe at the moment, the second half of this match just showed that they just didn't have the nerve that Toulon did to win this game. Not a very good game all round though, I must say.

Congratulations to Toulon. Silly play by Clermont at the end.

talk about bottling it big time. James bottled the drop goal in 2009 in RDS and Skrela bottled it today. Why was he taking the crash ball when he should have been staying well clear of contact to have a drop.

    WTF....terrible result...

But sure any coach that backs up a flakey ten with David Skrela....Pfffft...
All that talk about Cotter going to Scotland, could be the perfect match another flakey side to run.

    Poor enough game. IMHO
Pontypridd v Llanelli on S4C now. Hopefully a better match.

Exactly, he went missing at the end there when they were basically set up for another DG attempt.

They didn't play at all, they defended and defended. Created nothing, their try came from a stupid bit of defensive play by Clermont...

Aw Sivi that was a reckless pass. Pleased for Wilkinson, that's about it.

    And lobbe, he's a legend.

You have to give credit to Toulon. Outplayed for the most part but hung in there and emerge winners. Gutted for Clermont, a definite mental frailty there.

Ironic that Wilko helped win a game by blocking a drop goal.

Wilko, Shaw, Masoe, Fernandez Lobbe, Sheridan and Stefan Armitage, the rest of the mercenaries pretty much woudn't pee on if on fire, especially the owner...

Best team lost but can't win big games without composure when it matters. Leinster and Munster would of beaten Toulon today but Clermont bottled it. No real leader outside Rougherie.

My understanding is that all of Toulon's foreign imports learn French etc.

Happy for Wilkinson but so disgusted that it was Armitage who scored the winning try

Disappointed for Clermont. Would have loved to see them win it but they just couldn't close it out. Toulon played well and deserved it in the end. happy for Wilkinson, not so much for Armitage.

Leinster would have for sure. Don't think Munster would.
