Your habit of focusing in on one word or phrase in every post I make is a little frustrating.

I still fail to see your problem. The mere fact that there are racist connotations to what he said and the fact that what he said appears not to bein doubt was plenty reason to charge him. He will now be granted a personal hearing to plead his case. If they can prove his guilt he will be punished. If they can't they won't. Simples.

Rich coming from you - I say Proof, you say evidence and for me to get a dictionary - pot kettle fella.

So according to you everytime a player says the word 'Black' they should be charged with racial abuse and have to show at a hearing that it wasn't racially motivated?
Or would it be when other proof/evidence exists that it was?

From where I'm standing Suarez is almost certainly guilty. The 'cultural' excuse doesn't wash with me and I doubt it will wash with the FA, hence the charge IMO.

Repeatedly calling a black french person 'negrito' in one of the fieriest derbys in the world, during a heated exchange.

You will have a hard time explaining to anybody that it was said in a friendly context.

And further more Suarez has been in Europe a while now, he'd know damn well it wasn't acceptable to say it.

    Fair enough .

But I like things proven with facts not hearsay.

If the facts are there fair enough but we are yet to see them .

You were using the wrong word (and a pretty simple everyday word at that!) and it confused the entire direction of the argument for several posts!
So according to you everytime a player says the word 'Black' they should be charged with racial abuse and have to show at a hearing that it wasn't racially motivated?
Or would it be when other proof/evidence exists that it was?

If a player starts repeatedly refrerring to the colour of a black man's skin in the midst of a heated game-long argument then, yes I would like to see to see the FA looking into this everytime. Especially when the player admits to using the word in question.

    I'm off for a chinese.

That couldn't be viewed as a racist comment - could it?

This thread is a load of bollox. It has descended into a Liverpool v Manchester United argument.

Well, since it was a game between the two that bore this thread, WTF did you expect? And descended? It was always the case.

If I was Evra and felt a lad Uruguay was racially abusing me. I would have put him about 20 feet into the air with stud marks on his arse which resembled his front teeth. I could open a bottle of guinness with them chompers

I'm not here that long, but I'd just like to say that you are probably the worst poster I've seen on the soccer forum. You are so poor it beggars belief.

This forum is actually good enough, its people like you that ruin it.

Anton Ferdinand allegedly was slagging of JTs personal life all match...does it justify Terry's racial insult eagle eye? (Thats if he did racially abuse him of course ) I think anyone would be a liar if they said they wouldn't do the same. Itd be hard to take those insults without responding.

Liverpool didnt find Suarez under a rock outside Montevideo. They bought him from Ajax where he had around 3 and a half seasons living in the multicultural hotbed that is Holland.
He knew what he was saying was offensive
Of course and you know this because you are an avid Ajax follower and also can brainread what Suarez is thinking. This thread really is sh1t.

So why do you think he didn't react that way?

Really did you forget about your post on the Liverpool thread with the video clips of Luis trying to say because he bit someone and handled the ball mean he could also be a racist?

After blatter stirring up the racism pot this week with his comments, imo suarez will get a harsher punishment(if found guilty).

Johan Cruyff latest to be accused of racist remarks, by a fellow Ajax board member.
Ajax supervisory board member Steven ten Have has confirmed that club icon Johan Cruyff has racially abused fellow commissioner Edgar Davids.

Davids revealed on Sunday afternoon that he had been the victim of racist comments during board meetings, but refused to mention any names.

"Sometimes people cross the line within the supervisory board. There have even been racist comments. I don't want to go into details, but it's not easy to hold this position," he explained.

Nevertheless, Studio Voetbal stressed later on Sunday that Cruyff was the one who insulted Davids.

"You are only on the supervisory board because you're black," Cruyff allegedly said, a statement that was later claimed to be true by Ten Have.

"Unfortunately, that statement is true. Edgar has been insulted and has received shocking treatment," Ten Have revealed.

Cruyff has had a troublesome relationship with the other four members of the supervisory board right from the start, but things spiralled out of control last week with the appointment of Louis van Gaal as the club's new CEO behind the legendary No.14's back.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider Cruyff's alleged suggestions of positive discrimination to be racist, merely classless on his part.

One thing strikes me as odd, why didn't Suarez, if nothing was meant by it, just come out that evening or even the following day and call evra and apologise or even publicly apologise?
