i'm pretty sure he told the ref that Suarez called him "black", but i'm open to correction. i'm not sifting through the report again.

and anyway, that has little to do with how Kenny's handled the situation, which is the issue you raised.

how has he handled it well?

He told the ref during the game he was called black, then changed his story to ****** after the game, I can understand why Kenny would be pissed off, I know I am, I said yesterday Suarez was stupid in what he said and deserved some ban. Suarez was said to be uncreditable so let's talk about evras credibility.

Evra's credibility is not in question by the only people that matter - the people who found him guilty of the charge.

Debating it here is foolish. It makes no difference ot anything, and adds little

I don't think it's foolish, I think it could be the reason that Kenny is so staunch in his support.

No, we know why Kenny is so staunch in his support.

He told us last night. He knows things he can't talk about, that weren't put in the report for some reason he is also not telling us.

You are making stuff up though. Fair play.

Can someone explain one thing: Suarez claims cultural differences yet the report's linguistic experts say that irrespective of country (even Uruguay) this incident couldn't be construed as anything other than a racial slur Not stirring, I'm genuinely baffled by this.

It's a normal word in Uruguay, we all agree on that. But it can also be used as a slur.
e.g. using "negro" is ok as a nickname in Uruguay. But calling someone a "stupid little negro" or "I don't talk to negros" in a derogrity way, isn't. Suarez and Daglish know the word was used in a derogrity way, but they're sticking to their mantra of "it's an everyday word in uruguay" mantra. And also ignoring the fact that they aren't in Uruguay.

    let's not.

i'm not a fan of Evra, but the FA found him to be consistent in his evidence.

now, unless the FA are out to get us, and Suarez, then, well, they're privy to a lot more information than us.

Evra thought the phrase meant n****r during the game, but by the time of the hearing had been told that it simply meant "black".

Terry will not be treated in the same light as Suarez thats for sure.

Of course he will. Why do most Liverpool fans feel hard done by and feel their is always an agenda against them? its laughable:pac:

No wonder Liverpool is branded self pity City.

A mixednuts on a serious note their has been an awful lot of drivel written in here by some Liverpool fans. The stance Liverpool took was wrong in my opinion, no apology and they blindly backed Suarez when found guilty of Racism and basically just handled the whole situation wrong in general.

Mr.Alan, Niallo Crazy Horse and Turd have disgraced themselves in here IMO.

Alan never takes the red tinted glasses off,i don't no why he doesn't just go to RAWK he'd love it and revel in the conversation their IMO.

it's not fair at all to single out anyone in this.

members on both sides of the fence have done themselves absolutely no favours.

remember, yes, many rival fans have been somewhat vindicated by the FA's verdict, but there was as much wánk spouted by many on that side as the Liverpool side before we knew any facts at all.

the rival fans in question are just fortunate that they happened to be on the right side when the facts did come out.

This is what I am led to believe as well, although I'm being told I'm making it up. People are well able to criticize Kenny and his handling of this but when it comes to evra it seems to be taboo.

It really was one of the lowest posts in this thread.

Using the deaths of the Juventus supporters at Heysel, the deaths of the Liverpool supporters at Hillsborough as part of an arguement over Evra deserving an apology.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel does not come close to describing it. But I guess it is ok because it was deleted by the poster and the poster said sorry

    Scummy post.

I did ask cournioni to spell out the repeated insinuations both last night and about a week ago when he said it was off topic but kept referring to it, eventually dragging it up again last night!

I don't think LFC can ever apologise enough for Heysel for many of the victims, family, friends etc. and understandably so. Liverpool Haters like cournini as well but they are irrelevant compared to the victims.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/4409501.stm

As for Dalglish, I really don't see cournioni's problem. The judges inquiry afterwards charged the Belgian FA as equally culpable and the police chief was charged with manslaughter. LFC reference previous games at Hillsborough as to why the police should have known better, same with Heysel, its consistent.

I'm not that up on the Shields case, Mr. Alan answered that.

from my reading of the report, Evra thought the phrase he heard Suarez use at the time of the coming together meant "n****r", but at the hearing he acknowledged that he'd learned that it meant "black".

it's not taboo to criticise Evra, it's just unfortunately hard to when he actually won the case.

seriously, i do think there are some that haven't read the report still.

It's not just the report they didn't read, this has been explained to people already, the same people that are asking the same questions again.

    a distinct possibility.

we will wait until these "revelations" in The Times tomorrow maybe, and if there really is nothing new, this will be locked.

you have all been given fair warning.

Ah you're a bit of a Thatcher fan I'd say!

Kenny should have said nothing after the game last night. The club and player statement was plenty.
