A bit random but in Tescos Balbriggan they have packets of pencils with names on them reduced to 49c. However, the 'Ben' ones are scanning at 8c not sure if there's any other ones.

Might stop the kids from nabbing my sons pencils at school!

Thanks for the tip-off. Also reduced in Tesco Midleton. Scanned quite a few and no others were scanning at 8c. Luckily I have a Ben so I bought a couple of packets! 49c is still good for the other names so I bought a packet for my youngest son too. Marked at €1.99

Also reduced were the Ambrosia creamed rice BOGOF at €1.22 (I am told that no other creamed rice compares to Ambrosia)

Double packs of lakeshore Ham Glaze and Cranberry sauce at 99c (Think the RRP is €3.99) http://www.approvedfood.co.uk/?pid=35746

The HUGE packs of Tesco Onion rings (300g) were down to 49c, along with huge bags of S&V crisps down to 74c and some weird cheesy snacks to 49c.

And not sure has it been mentioned but wispas are half price (along with some other cadburys bars.) And those Walker Deep ridged crisps are BOGOF again.

Forgot to look for the duvets so unsure if they were there.

Schneiderweisse? What the story there? Do I drink it or wash me hair with it?

He plays in midfield for Bayern Munich actually.

Anyway I thought it was a serious deal, a lovely Weissebier that's usually about €2.75.

I drank one over the weekend (hadn't noticed they were out of date).

It was delicious and I appear to be still alive.

Best before dates are just that, the product tastes at it's very best before that date. The flavour may diminish slightly as time goes on after the date but it won't harm you or make you sick to eat something that's past it's bb date.

Just ask the man who ate the 50yr old Chicken in a tin..

Use by dates are different matters entirely. But there's mountains of food thrown out of fridges and presses by people who don't know the difference.

None in Tesco Tallaght this evening from what I saw. One bottle of Tap 7 on it's own beside the Tap 2 stuff but full price listed. Wasn't interested in only getting the one bottle so left it there.

Some SD cards are scanning at lower than the shelf price:

Kingston MicroSD 4GB Class 4, marked at €10.99 but scanning at €6.99
Kingston MicroSD 8GB Class 4, marked at €14.99 but scanning at €9.99
The PNY branded ones were scanning lower too but cant remember the prices

Also HP135W 16GB USB drive was marked at 39.99 but scanned at 24.99. I think this was available cheaper previously though.
