Can anyone tell me if 'ready brek' is free on SW? Am trying to start gradually today, but forgot my books and have just had a small bowl of it!

It would be one of your healthy extra so if you have anymore cereal or bread today you will need to syn it.

Just make sure you weigh it.

Another nice tip is to make it with water and then mix in some Aldi Fat Free Yoghurts.

As I am a big tea and coffee drinker this gives me more room on my Milk. :)

Starting back to SW this week after abandoning ship last year. I am so embarrassed about going back again as Ihave put on more weight :( but iI am going to go for the new members talk this week and actually stay for the group talk every week, because the last time I was there I only went to be weighed and left as I had a small baby and then I felt it was a waste of money and could do it myself at home bla bla bla.

I will be posting here to get lots of words of wisdom and pick your brains about some nice recipes ;)

    Hi All,

Have been a WW for years and have decided I need a new challenge and am going to join Slimming World on Tuesday as am fed up after a year of ups and downs with WW am still the same weight I was this time last year, in total I have lost 5stone (maybe less after the Christmas:))

I am starting the 7 day menu as stated on their website as I am eager to get going. They mention syns in it on a few places but am just wondering which plan this is as it doesn't say, I know they won't give away too much on the website as they want you to join up and I presume ill get all the info I need on Tuesday. Which plan do you feel is the best, the red, green or easy one?

Any tips and advice would be greatly received.

    Thanls

Most people do the extra easy or orange plan. The red and green syn meat etc and are slightly more involved.

So for extra easy the plan is one third of your plate super free (veg or fruit) and teo thirds free. Be careful with your veg though, not all is super free. You'll find it all out when you get your book.

After you've been doing ww you'll be used to spray oil. ..butbit had points per spray? Its free on sw plan.

Don't do a big shop till you get your book because you'll need to plan till you get used to it. It saves you spending money on stuff you think is super free but its actually free.

Someone asked about yogurts. ..aldi fat free duneen yogurts are free and I find them much nicer than muller lights.

I weighed in last week and am half a stone out of target! !! Half a stone!!! Talk about lard ar $ e lol.

They're much thicker and tastier aren't they? I used to make a knickerbocker glory type thing with mixed berries 35 g of oats and the aldi yogurts. It was so rich it was delicious.

Spag Bol (Syn Free) for Lunch

Lean Pork Chops with spuds and veg for dinner and the obligitory bag of popcorn to keep the Syns up !

I joined SW last week. The group is normally on a Wednesday evening, but because of New Years it was on Saturday morning last week.

I'm a bit worried that the fact I only had 5 days since first weigh-in AND that the last one was a morning weight and now it's going to be after a full day of eating, that I won't get a loss, so I'm being extra careful and not going over 9 syns a day. Hopefully I'll even get a pound or two off.

Loving the plan though - so easy to stick to!

2 stone 1.5 pounds to target....

Thanks really great, fair play. I was the same. I think even when I think I'm being really bad now I'm still making better choices and bad isn't a share bag of crisps to myself anymore!

I put on all the weight I lost since I joined in October.
    Am I surprised? No
Do I want to slap my head off me? Yes

Can I loose a stone in time for my boyfriends 30th in 6 weeks??
Sure I will give it my best shot!

Got rid of my Christmas pound this evening and 2 1/2 more as well. I'm feeling very optimistic about reaching my target by May, or at least getting pretty close to it. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Id say if you keep yr head down you'll get it. January is usually a quiet month so its great for keeping to the plan ;)

Yeah I don't have much planned so I hope I can make a good go of it. Off the drink as well so that will help.

After 3 weeks I might have a little bottle of wine as a treat, if you only buy the tiny ones then you can't do much damage :o

Going to try and keep to 5 syns a day for this week to just get a head start and then for the second week keep to within 10.

I really want this so bad!

    Hello,
I am new to the plan. I am more into Unislim but SW is closer to where I work so it's easier to get to. So my main question is- can I carry over syns? Do I get a max of 15 each day? I can't find this in the book & I find the plan a lot more complicated that Unislim.. I hope someone can help me as I don't see myself lasting more than a few weeks if I don't get the hang of it quick.
