Thought KoBayashi could have and should have backed out of that being at least half a car length behind.

maybe could have seen it coming, hard to know, montoya used to have a few of those sort of overtaking accidets

Button up to 8th, have to wonder what could've been.

This must be Vettel's last set of Soft tyres yeah? Could be some fun and games yet.

Loved Brundle's reaction to the Williams/Sauber train. :D

Just about to say the same, I don't care what anyone says Sky are NEVER going to comment as well as the BBC.

There must be a hit out on Hamilton :D But from his onboard it looked like he got the shunt from the right, maybe he should have been more aware but he looked very surprised!

Schumacher having an amazing race! Up 18 grid positions now!

    Come on Jensen :D

It's not over yet - there might still be rain, and we know Button likes those conditions. But he's up against Schumacher next, who has flown up to 7th from the back of the grid.

I'd nearly prefer no more rain, Button is in a better position than most if it stays dry, he can go to the end on one more stop and it'll be for fresh softs.

That overtake by Button on Schumacher shows what I think is what's brilliant about him, looked almost like a Hamilton dive but there was no tyre smoke or contact, no excess wear on the tyres. Brilliant.

Is anyone else finding the BBC bias a little annoying today?

JB is on fire!! (not literally of course!)

    Go on the JB! :D

EDIT: A safety car and it'll be between Webber and Button I'd say. At the moment Webber looking good for the win.

Button, really going for it. Looking strong

    Button/Massa brilliant racing

Pity Button is a full pitstop behind Vettel or he'd have a great shout.

Brundle and Alonso are right, there's blistering and all but there's fcuk all pace loss.

Button for the win or else 2nd :D

The slow mo shots of the blistering dont look bad, sometimes you see that across the whole surface of the tire not just on the shoulder

Massa starts well in the race and then fades away

Just thought of something, assuming it comes down to Webber and Button (depends on where Vettel comes out after pitting) the fuel could be interesting. Button having had to drive through the field may be touch-and-go on it.

EDIT: Have Pirelli said anything about the life of the hard tyres? Be some craic if Webber went to the end. :pac:

Button should be hitting quali laps from here on. He needs an average of a second a lap to the end to catch Vettel (including his pitstop) but will be putting on a fresh set of softs in a while. The current set have lasted well even with all the overtaking he was doing.

Mediums had a lot more pace at the end of the race than anyone seemed to expect. Hopefully Button can push on if the others' mediums start to wear.

Button is looking good for a podium finish

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,970 ✭✭✭✭bnt

That's a pity - Button's tyres obviously went off a cliff and he had to change them. But he had started on the mediums, got them out the way, and is now on softs, unlike both Red Bulls. It's going to be interesting ...

Alonso has no pace on these tyres it seems. Gonna call it Vet-Web-But unless Alonso is playing games. Looks like Vettel has it in the bag unless Webber cruises past Alonso.

EDIT: Yeah Vettel just threw in a PB middle sector, has it well in the bag.

Webber is right up with Alonso, come on make it interesting
