Some sites have that installed themselves, its an advertising thing.

It was on every site I went to though, it`s gone now thankfully.

I did enjoy the headline on the Daily Mail site about Newcastle's french revolution and SAFs recent comments:

Oui club in the North East

Watched the first 4 episodes of Mad Men, unsure about it so far, want to like Draper but just think he comes off as a dick. Complete opposite to what people have told me about the character. Early days though so will give it a chance.

Just did a speedtest and apparently my connection is faster than 98% of Ireland. This country has crap internet as I still dont think its fast enough :pac:

And I'm on WiFi so the cabled would probably be better, especially since I used cat6 instead of cat5 :D

Lads could you help me with a small pc problem whenever i`m on sites lately I get these weird ads popping up when I highlight random words that are underlined for no reason. e.g. Tablet is underlined in DM-ICE`s post linking to an iPad ad

That is a practice called "text enhance" - it's a malware that occurs when you install an add on - it would be bundled with something you trust - like a toolbar (mainly they come from here) or ironically an ad blocker!

They are used as a way of advertising - in a non compliant way - as regulators in general will never be able to see the ads!

Its a hard slog to start off with, but once you get to know more of the characters you will start enjoying it more. Mad Men is entirely character driven. Do not expect many shooting or explosions etc. Stick with it, it is worth a watch. It is not in my top 3 by any means mind.

I decided to close my facebook account yesterday. It has become oh so tiresome with the attention seeking status updates, pictures of peoples kids, "if I get 1 million likes" etc etc etc. I will re activate it to upload photos if that situation arises, if not, its cheerio.

Stick with Mad Men, it's absorbing and wonderful.

Stick with it honestly. As the complexity of the characters becomes apparent you'll be hooked.

I don't think Don is meant to be likable but as it all unravel you come to have sympathy for hint despite his flaws.

Roger Sterling is by far the most likable nd legendary character in it.

A Roger Sterling used post here actually. I wonder why he left so quickly. I'd say himself and Pete Campbell would be good buddies.

Id say its more the case that Roger thinks Pete is a schnake and only tolerates him for the sake of business. All Roger ever wanted was to get.p*ssed in the morning and get the ride. :pac:

Strange, I just start using mine last night. Years behind everyone as usual. I set up an account in 08 and never logged in untill last night.

Do they still do that thing where they take random friends, have pictures you're in together and say "XXXX will miss you" as if you somehow will never see your friends and family ever again if you close your Facebook account?

If it wasn't for a few friends who I'd lose contact with otherwise, I'd delete my account too. Considering starting a new fake account and just adding the people I like. I swear, every time my sister's friend posts a picture of a child with cancer I get one step closer...

Ya, the same thing is there alright. Made me very misty eyed indeed.

I won't close mine completely, I have it de-activated. It is handy to have and would rather not have to get everyones email address etc.

But ya, facebook can do one for the time being.

You never realize how dull your friends are until you go on Facebook.

Can see why TBH. Big money and he's already won the Hcup with Leinster a billion times anyways. Does make him look very money hungry though in comparison to O'Gara and BOD who've had the chance to go but stayed.

Definitely FB has become quite tiresome, I find myself either avoiding the news feed page or hiding/unfriending people. It's my primary page for my show so I can never really leave facebook but yeah it's become insufferable. So glad it's not just me turning bitter or something! Twitter isn't all that better, it's just links to other pages and people announcing they've been to the gym.

    FFS.

Sit through the first half of the United game. 1-0.

Dinner arrives. Go and eat it. Come back and it's 4-0.

S1 was v well made but it felt like at some point 1/2 way thru the season they got renewed and stretched out the plot. The ending was a giant middle finger.

Bellik is great too. Brutally crass and honest about his selfish goals. Definitely recommend since it's all there immediately to watch.

to be honest they should have ended it after 2 seasons.

I've been re-watching it myself and season 3 is actually much better than I remember, the Sona backdrop was awesome as was it's various inmates. Lechero and Gretchen were great additions to the cast. And at only 13 episodes too, there wasn't much filler.

As for Bellick - love this guy. I really think this is who Bully Ray based his latest heel run on, cowardly selfish heel who is brutal at times but comes with hilarious moments thrown in for good measure. And they even both kinda look alike.

Can you tell that the writer of the show likes brunettes?! The endless conveyor belt of gorgeous brunettes who have been on the show, Sarah, Gretchen, Maricruz, Sofia, Veronica, the Nun prostitute, amazing talent :pac:

Should have been a peno there, would have been a sickener for Brentford.

The magic of the Cup. :pac:

Rogers to blame here. Played four strikers and a team of lightweights and got bullied out of it.

    Great stuff altogether.
