I don't think so. There always seems to be a particular nastiness to the way he asks Matthews questions, and the way he responds to his answers (that's if he's not talking over him).

Doesnt seem any nastier to me than the way he talks to anyone else on the show representing the government. He was the same with Lucinda last night.

Funny enough, I have always gotten the impression that Vinny and Peter are friendly outside of the programme. I actually think Vincent has great regard for Peter but he is keen for FG to treat him fairly, I think he feels that if he highlights these issues that FG might wake up and make better use of Peter's expertise or that Peter might have the courage to cross the floor to the Independents.

Good point, you could be right.

Did anyone else notice how Peter Mathews blushed when Vincent kept going on about this mystery person & the opposition to Peter making the trip to Germany?

If I was a betting woman, I'd say that Peter told Vincent that off the record and Vincent decided to use it to illustrate the crap that Peter has to deal with within FG.

Agree. Can't stand the man. He loves running down the South. How on earth is he a so-called successful journalist ?

Well the RUC would certainly know what to look out for anyway, given all the collusions they were involved with themselves..

Three journalists being interviewed by another and promoting a future book no doubt.

Heres a podcast i have listened to a few years ago.

imo its def worth a listen,so do so in your own time.

awful boring program, has all the atmosphere of a game at Lansdowne Road.

Sam should be made to read out the advertisements, like in the 50's.

never heard that happening before, almost like Sam is trying to sabotage the show, maybe he's in the pay of a 'spook or geek' that he keeps talking about:D

All a bit amateur hour, a wasted opportunity, probably like the way the Tribunal will turn out.

Strange to see a wholly Northern panel.

I do like the idea though of a non Vinny show every now and then.

It can be an effort to take his sanctimonious/ know all/ inferiority complex/ 'aren't journalists just great'/ issues sometimes.
