    Yeah there's one in Salthill I think. Not Dr. Mario Balotelli's some other gaf. The Tron table is gone. I emailed yer man and he said they sent it back as it kept breaking down.

    Enable charity shop in shop st is the only one I know,
    Decent amount of ps2 games there
    Funnily enough I was in Galway yesterday due to work and nabbed Mortal Kombat 5 (deadly alliance)for 2.50..it suprisingly good!

    Great 2nd hand bookshop there. Can you see if they have any Pratchett's books? And buy them? And give them to me? Make sure their hardbacks.
    Oh and also their not worth anything like, I just like having as many as possible. So don't worry about me trying to take advantage.

    Can we change this to the arcade/retro/pratchett forum?     Looks like we have an unintended collectors edition of the 3DS resident evil due to the idiots at capcom:

    Almost as bad as when Capcom mixed up the CD labels for Strider 1 and 2 in the PS1 2 CD release of Strider 2.

    It'll never cease to amaze me how the 360 endured one of the worst launches in history, with its astronomical failure rate, only to turn around and become one of the most highly regarded machines out there.

    Full credit for PS1 & PS2. Everything after that was mismanaged though. If it's possible these days to fugg up, rest assured, Sony will do it.

    The odd thing is that Sony still managed to quietly sell about the same amount of PS3s as the 360.

    Worldwide sales figures
    Wii – 94.97 million as of 31 December 2011
    Xbox 360 – 57.6 million as of 4 November 2011
    PlayStation 3 – 56 million as of 2 November 2011

    You don't remember the PS2 launch then? The only reason that it ended up well was that it was called Playstation and third parties eventually made some good games.

    PS3 is big in Europe while the 360 is big in America. In japan neither are big but the PS3 sells a lot more.

    360 is no where near the best console ever, not even close.

    I wasn't a launch owner, too busy being a teenager at the time :D I'm just looking at it now I suppose, in all its mammoth glory. Perhaps that was down to 3rd parties though, it is Sony afterall.

    Being an affordable DVD player was also a big deal and shifted a lot of units to begin with,. despite it being an awful DVD player. It's the same thing they tried with a lot less sucess with Bluray and the PS3.

    If I'm to think back about what console has probably brought me the most joy, I think I'd have to go with the Gamecube, followed by the Dreamcast.

    For me it's the DS. Just so many great games on it and such a diverse array of genres. I think it will be overlooked by a lot of people. SNES and PS2 would be next.

    The Wii was a freak of nature. The amount of people that bought 1 to play tennis once, golf once and then leave it gather dust is amazing O_o
