Vittoria clinchers for 4 quid... worth having a few as spares.

They’re a wired tyre and a pretty poor one at that. I used them years ago as they came standard on a low entry level bike. I took them off within a week or two as they were shockingly poor in the wet.

It’s a premium brand. Check out the Sugoi website, seem to do a lot in the US.

Some of their stuff is good some is muddy fox territory

I got a set of Sugoi bib tights a few years back that actually came up on this thread and they were very good quality.

We got some through work, I found the jersey flimsy and haven't used it, the bib shorts are good.

Lidl have PTFE spray €2.99 today, 16th April, would it be any good, do you think? I got some anyway, the can feels a bit light, maybe. They also have silicon and maintenance sprays in the same range.

get the silicone spray for in a round the brake calipersand derailers. PTFE is much the same but both are far better on bikes than wd40 etc as the pick up less dirt.

Thanks for that, I already have a large can of Lidl silicon spray. I just thought I needed some PTFE to add to my extensive range of oils, greases, cleaners, lubes and lotions. You know how it is. I wonder might it be just regular oil with ia pinch of ptfe added? Hmm. It does have a nice picture of a rear derailleur though.

It's a deadly fan if you have the space it's pretty big. Three speeds and a nice wide fan so feels like a breeze

It wouldn't affect a lot of people, but it could be a problem packing that frame into a travel case.

I have absolutely no need for this frame but that has never mattered up to now and n+1 has just kicked in.

So with that in mind how do Ridleys sit size wise. I'm a standard 56 user, 180cm and 31cm inside leg.

Standard 56 then I guess (if you mean the Helium), which seems to be their "Medium" (virtual Top Tube of bang on 560mm). I'm a 56 and I had a medium Ridley Orion for a few years which was bang on for me.

I'm 185cm / 34cm and had a large Orion some years ago. It was too big. Historically, Ridleys size up quite large and I will, wont would be buying a medium as a 565mm toptube is perfect for me so I'd make 560mm work. The Small frame (545mm) isnt too much smaller TBH, the gap to the the Large (585) is significant.

You might need to watch out for the seat-tube length in any case. I dont know much about ISP bikes, but quick maths on the Medium frame dimensions:
740mm seat tube length
20mm allowance for saddle (...not much)
170mm crank length at bottom-dead-centre (shortish cranks too)
______
930mm leg extension (minus a bit for shoes/cleats) = 36.5cm

Just check the measurements ....I doubt you'll get your toes safely on the ground while in the saddle when stopped?
