If you stick a 1.50 gel in your cart it does. Just don't want to be stuck with a bill of a couple thousand for wheels I cant afford. Would love to pull the trigger just to see what happens though...
Price on the wheels is now €40,000.

Anyone got any views on the offers on Lidl coming up: http://www.lidl.ie/en/Offers.htm?id=256

I'm new to cycling so need an upright pump, some kit - bib shorts. base layers etc. Presumably I couldn't go too far wrong with the stuff on here. The pump looks pretty good value compared to most ones I have seen about 25 euro.

The bib shorts and jerseys look a little less obviously 'Aldi/Lidl' than before...those orange shoes are probably the ugliest I've ever seen though :pac:

No they aren't I've had mine 3 years and still going strong and easily reaching 120psi.

I'll probably pick up another as these appear to be better again mine was there cheaper model.

agreed, mine lasted 4 months before giving up the ghost, purchased one from my local lbs and it's going strong 3 years later

I have a BBB workshop pump I bought in 1999. I replaced the head about a year ago but aside from that it is like new.

I managed to order a set of the zipps earlier, along with some other bits. Got a phone call from Harry's explaining there was a mistake on the price, and asking if I wanted to go ahead and order the wheels. I said I would at the price advertised - tounge in cheek - they explained that the actual price was a lot more than 0.00 :) Unfortunately the price was wrong so no new wheels for lenny. Ah well.

Padding in the bib shorts is brutal. Get far better quality on ali express. Be sure to order one with silicone gel padding not the crap sponge padding.

This is an example of a bib shorts at around the same price point at aldi/lidl shorts but with premium padding. I should know cos I own a pair of them. http://goo.gl/k8sDG3

Interesting, free shipping albeit on a "slow boat from China" basis. How do they "size"? Found Aldi bib tights XL to be rather less-than-tight in the thighs, but a little short in the bib straps... But that's largely down to my odd shape, admittedly.

You can only go as far wrong as the money you're spending, for the most part. :) Potentially beats either a) having no gear, or b) spending a ton of money before you really know what you're looking for, is how I'd look at it.

I'd caveat the pumps, though. The Didldidi hand pumps I've seen look like total crap. I wouldn't want to be relying on them to get me home if I needed them "in the field". You might be on safer ground with these pumps, as presumably they won't be your only pump, and you won't be using them on a "mission critical" basis. So your worst case is one fails, you use your other pump, and spring the €25 for a real one.

I'd second that. Have a BBB track pump from a FNBS, and it's stood me in good stead. I think my hand pump is the same brand.

Well I must have got a dud then, the bbb one I had was terrible, I threw it out.
Best track pump imo is the Joe Blow

A quick heads-up for anyone buying the CRC BOGOF on High5 EnergyGels: mine arrived today and a quarter of them were EnergyGel Plus - the caffeine version. This might be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for, but it's not noted on the product description.

Can someone point me to best bargain in bib shorts? Not necessarily the cheapest, but best price:quality.

I'll have a pair of these in my possession tomorrow, will let you know how they fair on my commute after a day or 2.

These feel comfortable and a lot better than the bicycle line pair I picked up in CSS. Will let you know how they feel after a decent cycle.

I can second/third the BBB track pump recommendations. I have one a few years and it's working the same now and the day I got it.

I've found a pump to be only as robust as its little rubber grommet

It only gave me the option of a UK billing address and no paypal alternative to get around that. A pity, it's a great deal
