The written judgment in that case is the words of a judge who's completely lost patience with this line of nonsense. There's acres of pure Freeman in it but there's a few things that are pointed out that are the stated position of the Fake Law groups that swear they're not Freemen:
    • You have a divine right to read affidavits into the record. Nobody has anything better to do than listen to you read aloud something that they've already had to endure in private
    • The longer and more meandering the affidavit the better
    • Put in as many accusations as you can
    • Anything you've ever heard from the Man in the Pub is worthy of a few paragraphs in your affidavit
    • An affidavit is a perfect substitute for actual legal submissions with their pesky form and conventions
I see the old Ben Gilroy scheme of executing a power of attorney to allow your McKenzie friend to speak on your behalf was used as well.

Speaking of Ben, I believe he's back in Court tomorrow in relation to his contempt. It's worth noting that his "clients" now have solicitors on record so there seems to be a breakdown in that particular relationship.

How come the usual groups are not reporting on this case ? Must be really hard to spin that to a victory

I'd say they won't even "report" it to attempt to put distance between their teachings and this.

The reason may well be found in the last paragraph:
In summary, I am satisfied that the plaintiff’s proofs are in order and the defendants have advanced nothing remotely approaching an arguable defence in this case. They certainly do not satisfy the test posited in Aer Rianta v Ryanair of having a fair or reasonable probability of having a bona fide defence. For completeness, I have examined the terms of the loan documentation herein and find nothing therein which in my view amount to an unfair contract term within the meaning of the European Communities (Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts) Regulation, 1995. Accordingly, the plaintiff is entitled to judgment for the amount claimed.
The usual suspects have been pushing the Unfair Terms Directive quite heavily recently. In fairness to them, there have been a number of proper professionals expert in EU Law that have also been seeking to raise it as an issue in relation to repossessions. Spoiler alert; it hasn't been getting much traction even with very eminent counsel presenting it.

You are mistaken. The win is in the judgement:
"9. Affidavits of the type deployed by the first defendant in this case are increasingly common. They often display an extraordinary knowledge of the minutiae of statutes, court rules, EU and case law,
almost universally to entirely misguided effect.

No mention of UnitedPeople in the report

You have to love the fact that the Communist party are just a landlord with a decent rent roll and valuable asset

SIPO have UP listed as failing to file any accounts - audited or otherwise

Hadn't heard anything on Ben but it beats the hell out of me what bearing it has to do with him avoiding further punishment for his "scorching affidavit" that he's since had to denounce to keep himself out of chokey.

I was told that yesterday, a lay person caused such a scene in the Central Office that they had to be removed by Gardaí. No idea which particular group (if any) they were disciples of.

Probably got confused and asked the clerk about acting on their oath, forgetting that they were supposed to save that gem for the Judge...

the more bizzare thing is that this landlord is probably a member of / supporter of many of the anti-eviction, anti-paying your debts protest groups.

Anyone have any idea of who this genius is?

actually .. after very quick facebook search it seems the landlord who apparently this is linked to is facebook friends with all the ususal suspects .....

    Of course they are.

One fake law firm goes out of their way to offer their services to landlords. Other leading Freemen have acted as letting agents looking for "receiver proof" tenants.

    Summed up beautifully
Apparently, he considers himself something of a ‘Freeman.’ He belongs to one of the wackier social movements of our time -’the freemen of the land’ – a weird bunch of conspiracy theorists and libertarians who don’t consider themselves bound by the law. Throw in a load of nautical-sounding words and you have some right eccentric auld ****e.

    lulz:D

To everyone on here I would like to wish you all a peaceful and very happy Christmas, it has been another year of fun where we have seen some of the most interesting decisions to date to emulate from Inns Quay. in fact there were that many it would be hard to put a quantum value on them, some would say their were zero but how could you quantify zero, anyway enjoy your holidays and may you all have a prosperous new year,

Some system we have that he’ll more than likely be out within 2-2.5 years at most, despite refusing to give undertakings to effectively keep the peace
