Saw these on a truck yesterday travelling from Portlaoise towards Dublin. Anybody know where they are going ? Presumably not scrap as these too well wrapped up.
Sorry but there seems to be wrong with website as add attachments options is missing

that'll be from the ICR depot in Portlaoise to the wheel turning shop in Inchicore I reckon. Wheels will be shaved down and re-balanced as required and sent back.

Are those transfers not done by rail usually?

    Cookie monster,
Thanks for explanation but I too would wonder what they're doing on a truck on the motorway rather than a wagon on rails.
Any idea what's gone wrong with website "Photo Thread" ??? - recent discussion rightly pointed out it's for photos but facility to attach photos has gone AWOL.

It may be due to new restrictions imposed by Boards on users with low posts counts. I think you need at least 50 posts in order to post photos or links now.

    Karsini,
Thanks for reply but I don't understand what you mean - I've to submit photo 50 times or what ??? I've attached photos several times previously and it's been straightforward enough.

What happens when you try to attach a photo?

The option to select a photo(Browse button) from a file on my computer is no longer there.

    Yeah, that's it alright.

In an attempt to reduce spam, Boards brought in new rules recently. To be able to post links or photos, you now need to have 50 posts on the site as well as being a member for more than 7 days. You have 26 posts now, so you'll need to post another 24 times before you can attach photos or post links again.

    Karsini,
Thanks for info - all sounds bizarre if I understand it right. I'll be able to post photos again if I clock up say 24 "Hello there" messages which would be spam
    !!!

    Evening all,

I had to make a day trip to London on Wednesday 23rd April 2014.

For something a bit different, plus suiting my destination in East London. I choose to fly Aer Lingus Regional from Dublin to Southend Airport, returning that night from London Heathrow with Aer Lingus.

    Pictures from the day include:
    - Southend Airport
    - Southend Victoria
    - Stratford, includes 90045 passing with a freightliner service.
    - Various stations on the Eastern End of the Central Line.
    - Liverpool Street.
    - Holborn
    - Heathrow T123.
    - and finally a London Transport influence in Dublin Airport.

    Spam is not permitted.

As I understand it, you can post links and images, the posts are just pre-moderated.

Somebody (?) unfollowed me from this forum but I won't go. :D

Anyway, I came across this interesting pic for sale on eBay. I've never seen a similar pic before and it may be of interest to somebody here. Still for sale with two days to go.

    Victor,

Unfortunately the previous option of adding photos or link is no longer there. I last used it on 26-3-14 to post photos of passanger train on Alexandra Road. The possibility of pre-moderation doesn't arise as I just can't attach in first place, the Brose button is not there anymore.
Perhaps you could use your position to bring a bit of common sense to bear ? The number of 50 posts is excessive considering a two year membership !!

Friend of a friend was out flying and snapped this. Trying to confirm dates and location, but he only posted it to facebook a few minutes ago, so I assume it's recent.

I suspect it was taken on Easter Monday when no 461 ran down to wicklow. He probably took off from Newcastle airfield which sits next to the railway. In the photo it's travelling down the single section between Greystones and Wicklow with the Newcastle marshes in the background.
