Will be lucky to remain on the panel from what i've heard! Have either Kerrigan or Pa Kelly been considered at wing back? We now have an abundance of young forwards and to be fair to our current half back line their best days are behind them

ok a) why would Goulding be lucky to stay on the panel considering he is one of the game's finest forwards albeit coming back from serious injury, finding form etc ? b) how did you come up with Kerrigan as a wing-back, only attribute he has for defence is his pace?

edit: you got there before me, if what you say is true, then fair enough I suppose.

Word from the camp is he's been very poor in training, contributes very little from play, obvious still one of the best dead ball specialists in the country

Rang a fella earlier who would have his finger on the pulse of the camp as it were and he's know idea of what you are talking about.

Any time I've seen him, he certainly shows that he has some class attributes and would be a nailed on starter were he not on the way back to finding form from his injury.
I would imagine he is far from being chucked off the panel.

Someone whos been at the training matches in the pairc recently told me Goulding wasnt going well at all, obviously he wont be dropped from the panel but it was asked if he was going to be in line to start

Kerrigan or Kelly at wingback was just an idea of mine to try get our best players on the pitch, plus Jimmy played there!

in fairness, he would have to be quite poor to be dropped from the panel I'd imagine.

Kerrigan wing-back would be something that would have to be tested in the league first if it were to come to fruition. and he plays deep in the corner for Nemo so hard to imagine happening and I doubt he has the type of intelligence to perform there.

Paddy Kelly would be a better shout, he played midfield for the under-21's and being a somewhat defensive/untraditional wing-forward, it should suit him.

I'd play everyone in their best positions though, we used to be desperate for playing players out of position when we lacked the quality we have now.

I hope Cork will be up for the match more than the dubs were or we could be in for a similar match.

Well he is wearing a Kerry jersey and carrying a statue of Paul Galvin in CORK CITY. Very wise. Otherwise I would just call him a thick clown.

In the part of Cork in which I live, Corkonians have a sense of humour when it comes to the Cork/Kerry rivalry.

But, regardless of whom they play, the referee is always against Cork.

I wonder how Kerry supporters in Killarney or Tralee or anywhere else in Kerry would take it, if a statue of Seamus Derby was brought down there with an Offaly Jersey or Kevin McMemamin statue with a Dublin jersey. It wouldn't be liked there at all and they wouldn't get the sense of humour in it at all guaranteed.

I said it we wont see him no more until 2013. Wait now, he will blame the ref and he will say that Donegal are dirty team the usual. Well done again Donegal.

Delighted with Cork's win today. A tough semi lies ahead against Donegal who were worthy winners today. Must book the 27th off when I get back to work Tuesday,I'm definitely going to Croker on the 26th,Corcaigh Abu!

Get The Fúck In There.......never a doubt throughout the game. When push came to shove at the start of the second half, we simply blew them away. Bring on Donegal, having seen the qf's - our semi has a sense of a final about it!

Great display. Got complacent last 15 mins of 1st half, but utterly dominant otherwise. Thought Paudie Kissane & Aidan Walsh were outstanding. Counihan learning from Cody with his effective use of the panel. Nobody's safe and he made all the right changes today, at the right times.

Thought Cork were outstanding when they upped in on Sunday. They stepped up a gear and Kildare had no answer. Cork won while still having a few weaknesses pointed out to them.

Thought Cork would win beforehand but the manner of the victory was impressive. The depth of the panel is really being put to use. Ciaran Sheehan is a serious talent. Not happening for him last Sunday so Counihan brings on Pa Kelly who proceeds to have a very fine game.

Donegal is going a be a completely different matter. They are a serious outfit who will stay with us for the full game. Very tough game. Having beaten kerry they will have no fear of Cork.

Two All Ireland semi finals to look forward to. Roll on next Sunday.

John Gardiner is in an awful situation now, after having a bust-up with Hoggie and not talking with Barry-Murphy, he's now going to be made a scapegoat against Galway.
