Bein is working lovely tonight (was a bit sluggish resolving the site earlier). The picture quality is smashing. Enjoying HD11 tonight with Richard 'Hairy Hands' Keys and Andy 'I Treat Women As Equals, Honestly' Gray. :)

The DNS provider said it was definitely blocked as Bein updated the player and changed a bunch of stuff. Working great now, though it was annoying the other night when I wanted to watch the Arsenal vs Besiktas match. :(

...and La Liga is not blocked. :D

One thing to note with the player, at least in my personal experience, is the audio swap is fiddly.

Watching Getafe vs Almeria now on HD6 and it's default is Arabic. If you swap to ENG it stays in Arabic. Swap back to Arabic and then back to English and it will swap the audio over just fine.

    Happy days. :)

BeinConnect 1 and 11 again showing only the news channel, during the week it is working fine, just gets blocked for EPL. Hope this isn't the case for the remainder of the season, when this channel works the quality is incredible. Watched 4 games split screen last night on a projector, no stuttering/buffering and picture quality on each was excellent. Stuck watching Premier league today with very low quality picture.

It might be useful if when saying that Bein or whatever is working perfect that the medium that is being used is also mentioned:

    For example:

Bein with a 1.8m dish on Eutelsat 7w

    or

Bein on a Mags IPTV box

Your choice, but saying Bein working perfect does not help anyone.

I can say the same thing:

Bein sports 11HD working perfect for me (cause I'm sitting in a bar in Abu Dhabi).

Star was so so earlier. Bein though (through the legit IPTV sub) is glorious in Elvisvision. :D

Currently watching Russian Judo, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A... AT THE SAME TIME.

    Gimme a batter burgaaaa. :D

Perhaps (IP) or (sat) could be used to denote what we mean?

Posters on another forum said plp were cancelling accounts outside New Zealand recently and not offerring refunds. Great value if you can keep your account open though.

So other than them breaking terms/conditions of service, are they legally covered in screening this? I know there was precedent in this area given the case taken by the UK pub landlady a couple of years back - but was there not still some issue re. infringement in relation to EPL logo's etc?

A lot of the IPTV providers have logo blanking facilities that get round this,

but at the end of the day the commercial premises don`t have a contract with the original provider,

    so.. !

with the Murphy case they had at least an official smartcard and were paying the provider indirectly ie Nova

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,629 ✭✭✭Newtown90

I know the Woolshed and one other un-named pub in Cork that claim to screen 3 x 3pm games every saturday.

Using IPTV aswell, so I think its madness in a big city! Asking for trouble advertising it too!

Just to add: Nova is in a EU country; free movement of goods and services directive.

Yes, that`s true, whereas most if not all of these IPTV originate from outside EU
