TVCorners "Event pack" for upgrading to 9 and 10 warns that the sub will expire on 5 July 2012

Hmmm. Did they reconsider just to have the extra capacity for Euro 2012? It also makes reference to African Cup of Nations coverage. I suppose it makes sense, in the context of their plans for the French market, for JSC to cover the lot.

The semi finals were on the weekend, most rugby seems to be on +9 and +10 but the Leinster game was on +3 on Sunday.

What a sports night tonight on Al Jazeera.

Ajax v VVV, Milan v Atalanta, Inter v Parma, Lazio v Siena, Juve v Lecce, Nice v Lille, Barca v Malaga, Real v Bilbao, Marseille v Nancy and PSG v ASSE all live on JSC right now :eek:. Two Copa Libertadores and 1 Brazilian cup game later then.

What to watch?!

I wonder will Al Jazeera provide a premium card, with the following two channels?

2 HD channels, the first launching this Friday, 1 June, the second launching in August. 11 euros per month.

Looks to be mainly the existing JSC stuff, with a focuse on french football but also with Bundesliga and French rugby league.

I am considering this card for my father. I notice some comments re: quality, can somebody confirm if the picture is clear? Bit of a vague question but are the channels easy to understand / identify? i.e. is this type of setup sutiable for a 60+ year old?

They are absolutely watchable. For the cost of the card it is a bargain.

picture is great, there were problems back about 5-6 years ago when i got it first and when they bought art sports.

the only thing which would be nice would be a now and next on the info bar from the channel itself without having to download a full epg from the net.

my family has no problem using it and they dont know anything about satellite or receiver setup.

yes it does, i have the 1-8 jsc card and the events channel doesnt clear:(

Anyone know if there will be any HD channels on 13E for the new season? My card expires soon and I am thinking about what to do for next season. I got good value from the card last season but HD would seal it for me.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, Al Jazeera launched a dedicated service for France on Hotbird and on 5 west, with two HD channels under the BeIn Sport banner,

For this reason, i doubt that they will add HD channels to JSC service in the short term. I was also hoping that they would link these channels to a JSC card with the 10 channels at a slightly reduced rate, but so far no dice.
