The hd channels have made way for +6 to +10, they are gone now.

Thats grand by me anyway. Not pushed about HD, just once I get me same amount of soccer as usual il be happy

Correct if I am wrong here but it looks likes the new channels are on Eutelsat 7W, not Nilewest. So they are receivable in Europe?

At the minute there are 5 hd channels on Hotbird, the first two are clearing. The channels +1 to +4 are also working plus the sports news and the global service, these seem to be all the existing channels for now.

Looks like it, Good to have 5 HD channels, but I wonder how they will spread the sports over the reduced channels?

Read somewhere another hd channel to be added plus 1 to 6 in sd, a lot of rumour, only time will tell.....

Just seen this on another forum I use;

OFFICIAL AL JAZEERA SPORTS INFO EPL Al Jazeera WILL NOT brodcast any EPL on hotbird

Only Al Jazeera sports +1 to +4 will remain on hotbird showing NO EPL

All the other channels will be on Nilesat

This is 100% accurate as I have spoke to the Al Jazeera Sports call centre!

They will not show the same amount of Spanish football or any other football on hotbird!

ok looks like the answer will be here shortly. we have now lost 6 channels from hotbird and gained none! love my footy but f*ck the epl for forcing jsc to move away from hotbird!

Gutted renewed my card with HD two weeks.... 4 channels is really pissing me off!! All I wanted was la liga, serie a and Ligue 1 in HD!!!! Mad is not the word

i just added the hd package this morning so have paid for 5 extra hd channels and end up with 4 less sd channels and no hd!

so can we pick up this nilesat in Ireland or are we stuffed?

Subscriptions to foreign providers is becoming a bit of a joke these days due to the Premier Leagues clamp down, it's all moving online now. More choice and prices are just as keen.

Based on all the comments there are only 4 channels left on hotbird covering la liga, serieA, frogs league and champions league + Europa league, does anybody know where I can renew my subscription for these 4 channels? Most websites still offer 8 channels!!!

I think we are jumping the gun here with JSC. There is 4 SD and 5 HD channels now. Also JSC Global+News. That's a total of 11 sports channels. Lets just wait and see what the craic is, but Im guessing not everything will be simulcast on both SD/HD, so that's a lot of channels to be spreading sport over. There's rumours too that there may be more channels added to Hotbird. Lets wait and see. It could be a case of "The queen is dead, Long live the king"

I love your optimism mate and as you can see up until today on this thread I was too. But note that we see jsc themselves announcing only hd on nileSat/badr I think it is fairly definite http://www.aljazeerasport.net/howtowatchus/
