    Hi,

I was wondering if anybody has had a chance yet to play with this box. Whats it like? Anybody know what the Ariva 200 has that it doesn't i.e. what are you sacrificing for the cheaper box?

    Thanks

This looks like an excellent buy. I see it has a card reader for pay TV, will it read the white Sky FTV card?

The 100E on which it is based on does but I'm not sure if it needs a firmware change

The 200 has a common interface slot and card reader, the 120 just has the card reader.

Guys I’m considering this or the Triax ST HD 537 which has the best UI? I'm going to use a universal learning remote to control the box and tv in one

thinking of getting this from Tony but plan on moving house in around 6 months. How hard is it to install, remove and reinstall the satelite etc. yourself?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,325 ✭✭✭✭Tony

I think the UI is the least of the problems on the triax http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=72614382&utm_source=notification&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=notify#post72614382

    Thanks Tony,

Do you know if its possible to set up the Ferguson with say 30 channels the Irish ones and some sat ones so you can just flick throuh them and no others? by using the numbers on the remote and the ch+- buttons.

Almost there :) Can I record on a standard DVD HD recorder? The recorder only has one HDMI port. How can I connect through the recorder to the TV?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,325 ✭✭✭✭Tony

    My pleasure
Yes the channel list can be customised to any way you think works best.

You would need a HDMI router

Anyone got one of these boxes set up and working as yet ?

It looks like good value but I'd like to get a proper review before recommending it to anyone.

    Any reviewers out there?

    Thanks,

Is anyone else having problems downloading the user manual? It stops bout 3 quarters of the way through stating a problem with the server.

Would appreciate if someone could post of another link to this manual if possible. Would really love a read of it before buying one.

Just ordered one of these - fantastic price, cheers Tony!

Have the MVision MD200 combo but thinking of retiring it to a bedroom so this will fill the gap nicely in the sitting room.

I suggest people wait til Satsklep get them in which is €83 all in.

Otherwise pay the €100 all in, its still €50 cheaper than retailers over here for the cheapest combo box.

Unless Tony @ satellite.ie gets them in.

Trying to buy one of these of that site but cannot see how to get delivery to Ireland. What's the story anyone

    Hi Tony,

If i was to order one of these boxes off you today when would i roughly expect delivery of the box? I just have a nagging girlfriend on my case :(:(

    Cheers

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,325 ✭✭✭✭Tony

If DPD are correct they should arrive tomorrow morning, I cannot guaratee this though as sometimes their delivery date slips.

Looks a great box, does anyone know can you add Sky News to the channel list or is a Sky box needed for that. A relative is looking for one and the most basic up and down channel switching is needed with minimum need to access menus. Thanks.
