I'm hoping someone could help me with something.

If I'm in the pub, Guinness has always been my favourite drink. I haven't really done the pub thing since I've been on WW but I'll be going out tomorrow. I was initially thinking that wine is a lower calorie option than Guinness so I'd planned on drinking that. However, points wise, a bottle of wine is 20pp and 3 pints of Guinness is 18pp. I'd definitely rather the Guinness and it's lower points (I'd have 3 pints in the time it would take me to have a bottle of wine so it's much of a muchness quantity wise) but for some reason I have it in my head that wine is less fattening. I know that on WW we work off points, and if Guinness is less points I should just go for it. Am I just being silly about the wine thing?

Can someone please advise me? Thanks!

    Hey Cosmic,

I would have imagined that Guinness would be better for you than wine. Nutritionally if you get me. Wine is very high in sugar and I'd imagine Guinness wouldn't be as bad. Per 100ml of Guinness its like 100kcal and 100ml of wine is 80kcal. There are more carbohydrates in wine per 100 ml than Guinness so it seems to be better. I'm But points are points when it comes alcohol so yep I wouldn't worry about it. If you prefer Guinness then drink Guinness at least you'd enjoy them much more!

    Hope that helped! Enjoy :)

Just made a gorgeous dinner with haddock.

I cut the haddock into 2 inch chunks and dipped them in egg and bread crumbs that I mixed parsley and garlic into, then cooked them in the oven. I did it for the whole family and they went down a treat... God I love when WW friendly dinners are so well received by the folks! Especially my little one... :D

whole dinner, including the breadcrumbs and veg & potatoes ... 9pp... absolutely MEGA!!!! :D

I haven't been on here recently as this week I was up a pound :( Was really disappointed as I wasn't expecting it. Motivation took a knocking. I'm at home this weekend so worried that with all temptation around me I'll cave but I'm trying to be strong.

I'm mad grazing this eve. Fortunately, im just wearing a path to the fruit bowl, and I just made a smoothie, and had a bag of snax too. So much for good Friday being a day for fasting between meals!

You chop them in to chip size place on roasting tray and spray with spray oil, put them in the oven till they are done and they are yummy! I some times put a little salt on them or some mixed herbs:)

ShindyB lovely dress I ordered this one http://www.ebay.ie/itm/150786242753?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_5256wt_1278

I missed last two weeks we meetings and I will also miss next weeks as I'll be out of the country. Does anyone know please will I have to rejoin all over again after missing 3 weeks in a row?

Thanks! Well the lady took my measurements and ordered the size closest to mine on the sizing chart she had. It will have to be altered when I get it. Won't be in until mid June so I've plenty of time to shift a few more pounds and tone the tummy!!

You get two weeks holidays every 6 months, so assuming you have those intact, you could use them and then pay for the missed week! I think???

Yes unfortunately if you miss three in a row then you have to pay the €20. You can only use your holiday weeks if it's less than 3 weeks.

The weather is gorgeous today. Stayed at my parents last night and just took their dogs out for the nicest walk. So easy to get the exercise in when the weather is so nice!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend and putting their weeklies to good use!

There's info for bacon in the small purple book you got when you joined. It's for bacon medallions, but it goes by weight. So it depends how thick your slices are, how big etc. If you weigh yours, and cut off the fat, it'll be the same thing- or at least that's how I'd point it! If it's boiled, there'll be no extra points. I think!
