Going to be drummed out of the meeting in disgrace tonight. I gorged myself like a pig during my Amsterdam holiday last week. Oh dear.

BTW, I don't like WW bagels, because I find them almost impossible to cut horizontally for spreading on.

How are you finding the 30 day shred one? I'm trying to find the time to try them all out! I've done the Davina one 3 times now I think (Power of Three I mean) so might try the 30 day shred next.

How often do you do them Eabhabear? I'm joined the gym too so need to make use of that as well, and spinning classes too:o Maybe I've taken on too much:D

The first time I did it I thought I was going to throw up it was that bad. It's much better now though I still can't go right through without taking a quick water break. I'm on day 6 of level 1. I've lost 2 inches on my stomach, 1 on my hip and a half on my legs since starting!

I do the 30 Day Shred everyday as I'm working towards a holiday in May and then on days I've more time I do a Davina as well mainly a cardio one because it's advised you add additional cardio when doing Jillian. I'd recommend doing at least every second day to get .

Wow Jillian Michaels one sounds hard!! But you're getting the results so it's obvious that you have to stick with it! That amazing that you lost 2 inches on your stomach! Is there a lot of moving around in it cos I'd be doing it in my living room!

Aside from fitness videos, I haven't been really following the pro points the past few weeks so I've sort of fallen off the wagon. Everytime I come on here though I'm motivated to start it again; I guess I'm not as hardcore and dedicated as all of ye!

Must get back into it after Easter again cos there no point saying I'll do it over Easter cos I won't!

Spinning tonight :-( ah well it'll be worth it! I HOPE ;-)

Maybe people can't afford it Mrs Crilly? Do you have to pay for every class? I don't go to classes so not sure :-)

Sometimes us girls can see bad results in one in every 4 WI's down to TOTM. If its the week of, week before, or week after then it could be water retention.

Weekends are the hardest to cope with. I find the best way to do it is to plan ahead. If you know you are going to be out plan your days meals to leave you some dailies so you dont have use as many weeklies. Big salads or 0pp soups are great for weekend lunches. Egg white ommeletes with lots of veg too I find great for breakfast/lunch/brunch (even throw in one yolk to 2 or3 whites). I try and create structure where I can but it is so hard, especially as stuff tends to sneak up on you at the weekends. Best of luck and try not to focus on the 0.5 gain. Instead look at it as 6.5 loss in 4 weeks!

Thanks a mil tiny penguin. A plan is essential for the weekend and I'm only realising how important it is now. Have started making zero-point soups this week and am loving them so much I think I'll try to make a big batch for the weekend and make sure I have lots of eggs too. It's good to actually focus on the positive - 6.5 loss in 4 weeks is great! Now just bring on the challenge of the weekend!

Hi and welcome to the thread :) Firstly 0.5lb is not that bad and chances are you will lose it next week and some. I second tiny penguin on the planning. Plan your main meals and then fit in your drinks around that and only allow yourself to have what you have points for. Exercise is also key for limiting any damage. Good luck for this weekend I'm sure you'll find some way to manage.

Thanks for the welcome : ) You're right - I haven't been thinking about the weightloss as cyclical also, depending on TOTM etc. I'm starting the planning for the weekend already and am determined to stick to it.

Will update you after the weekend. Feeling pretty positive about it now, armed with my soup and butternut squash fries!

Is it bad that I'm thinking if I stick to my pro points dailys then I can eat a WHOLE chocolate cake at the end!

Or use half and eat half a cake... mmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 288 ✭✭MaggieMay2

Well now after that random 3lb gain last WI which made no sense I managed to get on the scales tonight and lose 4.5lb!!!!! Absolutely delighted with that result! I'm glad I didn't let it get to me, stayed on plan religiously and exercised a little bit more and viola!

Alot to be said for not letting a loss get to you too much and knock you off the wagon. Even better again I'm now back in the 5 pound range of my goal weight (still have the gold card to remind me to get back there!) so from now on I don't have to pay ;) Oh yea! Defo gonna help at the minute so well chuffed :D Only 4 left to go to get back to goal.....bring it!

Perfectly acceptable. Me leader told us today that a small flake Easter egg, including the bars, is 22 pp. She said we could eat all that if we save our weekly points we could have it. I informed the meeting of my intention to have at least two!

What a crap week I am having food wise and every thing else wise, today was pants! ended up in Hospital with my DH he got steel in his eye and a infection but we were there for ages and did not make very good food choices kinda cross with my self as I wasn't paying attention to what I was eating at all, I normally go to Zumba as well but had to miss it, could not leave my poor hubby with little ones.

    dreading WI tomorrow!

well done to all the losses! :)

for those who were up! roll on next week and a nice - on the scales

Well I STS, which is in and of itself a miracle seeing as I had a bucket of Elephant and Castle wings and a big steak. Not to mention at least a bottle of wine and a fry up.

Wi tomorrow and am so nervous. Really hoping for a small loss but its doubtful. Was out last Fri, had a good few drinks and ate crappy hangover food on sat. I did up the exercise but I still think I'm gonna be up :+( I'm away for 3 nights over Easter so can guarantee that I'll be up next week too. Life keeps getting in the way of my weight loss efforts. Any suggestions on how to be good while I'm away? I'm Deffo gonna have a few drinks in the evenings but don't really know how to cut down the pp food wise when eating out for every meal!!! Thinking of bringing tins of fruit and popcorn and the likes and also throwing my runners and swimsuit in the car :-)

There is something seriously wrong with me today. I feel like ive been eating since I stepped off that scales. Talk about sabotage. I was determined to keep all my weeklies for Easter eggs (I'm a total chocaholic). But it's gone pear shaped. Yikes.

According to MFP the Butler's Mixed Berry White Chocolate Candy Bar has 6pp - they were the only bar they had nutrition on there for but that could be used as a guide to pp the others.

Thanks for that it doesn't sound too many or at least better than an egg

Down another 3lbs last night. I had a mini-gial set to have my 3rd silver 7 by next week so with only 1.5lbs to go, it looks like that's going to happen :D

Wow, there's some great losses adding up here at the moment! Congratulations to you all! :-)

And those who are up, seem to not be too disheartened by it, with it having been Paddy's wkend etc, so happy days! Onwards and downwards x

Thanks all for the advice on how to work out those 'bingo wings'! I bought a set of 3 dumbells from argos so I'm going to use them by doing exercises that a trainer gave me to do at the gym when I was a member as well as ones from the internet. If I can manage to tone up my arms and tummy even a little bit I'll be happy out! :)
Hope everyone enjoys their bank holiday weekend, it'll be my first weekend out drinking in about 2 months so I'm slightly nervous as to how it'll affect my weight. I'm saving my 49 weeklies for it though and plan on sticking to vodka and diet coke with hopefully no late night take away! We'll see how it goes! :o
