    Kipsang clear..looking imperious

ASfter 30k: Abainn on for 35:30 RR for 2:38:30
Slighly slower 5k splits for both but it was a slow split for the leader also.

    Next 5k is vital.

Just 10 secs each slower that split which is excellent. Theyll be digging deep now.
Village going steady. Robin slowling a little....not far now though.

    Kipsang should break record

Kirui, Lelisa tiring badly. Lilesa may be caught for 3rd by Kedebe

    Lel is with Kebede!!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,307 ✭✭✭T runner

Kipsang wins: misses record by 3 secs!

Kirui is dying...now in 4rd. Lilesa also. Kebeda or Lel for 2nd. Sprint finish.....Lel is a legend!

This puts Geoffrey Mutai back in the picture...maybe even Mosop.....

robinph also slowing towards the 30k split. Projected finish drops to 2:56, which would still be a great 3 minute PB so long as he can hold out.

Abhainn through 35k in 2:09:11. Predicted finish 2:35:44.
    C'mon Joe!

Those long steady runs with no water and energy will kick in for Abhainn now. He'll have the energy and looks like hell have the legs.

RR is having a blinder. They can smell the finish now.

Edit| 40k: sub 2|:36 and 2:39 still on for both lads. A finsih around tehse times will be two savage runs

    He's through 40k. 2:27:58, for a predicted 2:36:05.
Very little can stop him now, from attaining a superb result and massive PB.
