    Col du Soulor this afternoon.

Lovely spring day. Problem is it should still be winter and there should be metres of snow here.

Don't knock it. It's been raining here in Ireland since November. Pretty much a storm every week.

Just getting back doing a bit after over 2 months off following broken wrist, sustained from a fall when hiking.
Out yesterday, my better half lives in Delgany so I went thru Newtown Mount Kennedy, up over slaughter hill and up to the view of Lough Tay on the way to the gap from Roundwood. Beautiful view on a lovely day for it. But by God did those climbs hurt! I struggled up both, ouch!
Proped the bike up for a wee picture, hope you all like it :D

What were the roads like up to there? Might give it a go at the weekend.

Grand yesterday for the cycle, some ice on the left heading back towards roundwood, but very easily avoided, and probably gone now. Drove back that way today and it looked to have cleared up pretty much.

Déise Greenway, not officially open yet, but 1st 5kms or so have a tarmac surface. After that it's a bit rough, but fine for my bike!
It will eventually stretch from Waterford City to Dungarvan. It's going to be great when completed, hopefully mid-August this year.

Was in lanzarote the last week and got the chance to get out on a bike last Tuesday. I went north from Puerto Del Carmen and tackled Tabayesco and the switchbacks, was tough but massively enjoyable.

Rented the bike for the day from revolution cycles, would greatly recommend them.

Yeah, I found it hard going, but then I'm not doing as much training as most on here. The wind was wanted at the start of the climb to cool you down and then was strength sapping later on!

There's a restaurant at the top by the way, I walked in there with the bike and just said "agua por favor". They responded in English :)
