    Where were they taken?

  • Registered Users Posts: 223 ✭✭Biopace

First shot is overlooking Lough Na Fooey, second is Lough Corrib at Cornamona, third is on the Western Way with Killary Fjord/Harbour.

I'm guessing - to my uneducated eye - that the top one is Doo Lough and the bottom one is Killary Harbour with Mweelrea under cloud?

As someone who loves both cycling and Irish scenery, the photos are class - thanks for putting them up! :)

Edit - too late with response!!

Down in West Cork recently and went exploring, highlight being the Mount Gabriel climb, a must if you're in the locale.

    Near Pieve, Lombardy, Italy.

    Fantastic photos.

I had kind of wished it was Kerry;) but I did notice the road markings on the right hand side of the road.

Just back from Achill. In between the storms, I got out for a few spins.

    It's a Swissbike - the X70 model - currently on road tyres.

Very much the Swiss Army knife of bikes.

Stunning morning for it today - long may it last!

Beautiful vista from the summit carpark in Howth this morning in stark contrast to yesterday morning's mist/fog where visability was down to a few metres in places!

On a sour note, the litter up there is shocking these mornings. The good weather is bringing people out in the evenings for fish 'n chips but do they really have to chuck the packaging out the windows of their cars when they are done? I had to carefully frame that shot so there was no litter in it. :(

Howth Harbour looking bright & colourful this morning. My 1st longish spin since late June and the legs felt it after.

You should see the harbour area and east pier in teh early summer when the kids get out of school and leave half their wardrobe and god knows what else behind. The ditches and roadside on Military road at the Feather beds is disgusting aswell.

That's about the only downside of cycling in the Wicklow hills, even more so on the quieter roads where fly tipping/people throwing rubbish out of their vehicles/bikes is worse.

Seriously, who fills a bag of rubbish at home and thinks, I know what I'll do I'll put it in the car and **** it out on the side of the road somewhere and destroy our lovely countryside. Morons.
