Brain Drain, Black Dahlia or PANZERFAUST would be cool. A lot of characters to vote down to just one.

Is the 360 patch out yet? Fergus has been mad for Skullgirls recently, begging me for games.

Wow, didn't expect the funding to go this fast :pac:

Went for 50$ tier but already have half minute hero, its pretty godlike. If someone wants it gifted send a pm done

First stretch goal reached, so Squigly is getting her own stage and a story campaign.
The pool is now at $195,000 with the next goal being Big Band at $375,000.

Also, they expanded the top reward tier during the night where you get to design a background character for one of the stages. I wasn't awake, but someone grabbed one for me so expect to see a bandana wearing chap lurking in a corner somewhere after Squigly is released :pac:

Just slipped in €30 for the drive myself. Let's bring in Big Band and give this game some sax diversity!

    ...What?

Interesting look at the cost of Fighting Game development and a recap on the crowdfunding:

The most I'm familiar with is the software development fund, and given that a junior software developer with no experience can be paid perhaps €30-40,000 a year...that sounds like the Lab Zero crew are living pretty modestly.
Dang, you guys love this game. I'm saving for the PC version as the 360 one can't be patched yet, and the PS3 is hard for me to use nowadays, but I hope the PC release really helps it to pick up!

There's also talk of a Skullgirls Mac version (via a Cider wrapper)

So the Japan sales are going pretty well:
Apparently Cyberfront sold more copies in the first two weeks than they expected to sell over the lifetime of the game.

Hi all. Is the community for this game still alive? Been thinking about picking this up. Got the demo a while back but I dunno, it never really caught my attention. Is the fighting system deep?

I think it was dead day one

Local community? Not at all. International community, yes and online is decent on PS3 (will be better when MS finally patches the 360 version). Personally, I'd wait for the PC version, as it's being developed now and should have many improvements that might not make it over to consoles. In fact, go and pledge for the $30 package (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/keep-skullgirls-growing?c=home) and maybe we'll get an even better game when it's released (BTW, yes, the system is very deep and unrestricted).

Lab Zero started working on Squigly again on Monday and are now opening applications for animators and cleanup artists. You can download the tests and apply here: http://labzerogames.com/jobs/
The tests are actually fairly interesting in themselves as they have model sheets and the like for Cerebella and Filia.

The crowd funding is now approaching $320,000. $30,000 away from Big Band, with 3 weeks left on the clock.

They also announced that an extra stage has been added to development to accommodate the many background NPCs that have been donated for. This will be in addition to Big Band and Squigly's stages. Here's some concept art:

    PkRqGD4.jpg

    Extra tiers were also added:
$2,500 now gets you every tier previously available, regardless if they're sold out.
$5,000 gets you the above plus a custom Foehammer stick.
$7,500 gets you the above, plus flights to EVO to hang out with the team. (US only)

In not so good news, Lab Zero ballsed up the Team Fortress 2 hat promotion. Apparently they didn't actually confirm with Valve that they could get a hat promotion going and just assumed they'd be able. Once Valve saw the Inidiegogo they pulled the plug and LZ pulled the hat from the donation tier. You can read the full press release here: http://skullheart.com/forums/index.php?threads/new-indiegogo-reward-tiers-added-and-team-fortress-2-hats-update.415/

I'm fairly biased towards Lab Zero, but ****ing hell that was idiotic.

MikeZ went through the full list of silhouetted characters and explained a little about how most of them might play on last night's Salty Cupcakes.

The character on the left in this image has a pretty interesting gameplay mechanic:

    DVbrxjr.png

Isaac has a 'time glove' which allows him to travel freely through time, but not in the standard slow down/speed up mechanic time travelers often have.

Mike mentioned doing a quarter circle punch input would instantly make a second Isaac appear on the screen - an Isaac from the future - who would do an attack. Once the attack finishes, that future Isaac would disappear and a timer will appear on the playable Isaac. When the timer runs down, playable Isaac would begin the startup animations for that attack (after which he would jump back in time to attack, but you won't see this because it's already happened).
If these startup animations are interrupted by the opponent attacking, then all damage done by the attack would be recovered, because it never happened. Alternatively, if the future Isaac is hit when he attempts to actually do the attack, you would only take the damage after playable Isaac finishes the startup animations.

It' a pretty interesting idea to remove the startup from moves and displace it til later in the match and you could have a lot of fun with mechanics like that.

He also mentioned that maybe he could have attacks that manipulate the round timer.

The rough pencils and colors of the River King Casino stage, which is going to be the home to all the player submitted NPCs have been finalized.

I don't think too many people expected this:

This week’s edition of Mike Z’s Salty Cupcakes tournament series once again featured some pretty big news for Skullgirls fans. The biggest one was the announcement that the game will be coming to Linux.

    This game is best game.

Juju has rather ominously been skipped in that bio list.
