    for MNG...

i don't know if this will be appreciated; i've taken a stab in the dark at a team who, IMO, are extremely underrated. And looking at the New Age Outlaws, i see an opening for a team to feud with. i don't know if he was planning Magnum TA and Duggan to feud. if he did, he can either break them up, or create a triangle match of sorts?!

anyway, a team who aren't everyone's cup of tea, but are always entertaining. multiple time champions in different companies; when you think of them, don't think of the TNA version, think of the version who feuded with the likes of the Hart Foundation in the early 90s.
    The Nasty Boys

    04-791051.jpg

they're also stiff as sin, which will suit the likes of Brody!

    here's a squash match...

    here they are versus LOD...

i hope you like MNG ;)

    For Teamshadowclan...

OK I've done a (long) search and haven't seen this guy picked so hopefully he's available. I know Teamshadowclan and others have said his roster seems a bit heel heavy and could do with more babyfaces, so I wanted to pick one for him who could also fit in nicely with the other guys on his roster. With that being the case let me hear you say...

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

    .

    ...What's Up?!

    R-Truth

A former NWA Champion when at TNA, and a former US Champion, Ron 'R-Truth' Killings is pretty over with the young audience in the WWE, can work well in the ring and is a solid babyface to have imo.

    Hope you like.

This neighbourly Round 9 is almost at a close since we're nearly 3/4 of the way through. Round 9 will be completed once glenjamin makes a pick for campo's roster and we will then turn our attention towards Round 10.

Round 10 is a normal round and will likely coincide with the opening of the Evaluation/Write-up thread as has happened in other years. It's a bit late to open that now but I'll try and have it up in a day or two. With that out of the way here is the draw for Round 10...

    Round 10 Draw:

    1. Bubs102
    2. Cactus Colm
    3. Mr Nice Guy
    4. Diabhal Beag
    5. Voltwad
    6. Teamshadowclan
    7. Furious-Red
    8. Bounty Hunter
    9. glenjamin
    10. CMPunked
    11. Thebostoncrab
    12. SlickRic
    13. Dare 2 Defy
    14. Dieselqueen
    15. campo
    16. Ger. C
    17. Spongey1975
    18. flahavaj
    19. waltersobchak
    20. JP Liz

So then to sum up, glenjamin will finish off Round 9 by picking for campo and then Bubs and his pick gets Round 10 under way.

Good luck, happy pickings, etc.

Fusion Pro Wrestling normally wouldn't look at someone who wrestles this style, but we are about bringing the best in pro wrestling to you, the public. So we are pleased (and a bit worried for the rest of our roster) to welcome a man who has been a pure brute force in the ring for many years now, and a person who has some anger in him over not becoming the household name that everyone though he would when he hit Hollywood.

Ladies and gentle, Fusion Pro Wrestling welcomes Necro Butcher to our roster.

    roh-05-250x187.jpg

    Fusion Pro Wrestling
    1) Samoa Joe
    2) Chris Benoit

here's what Cactus Colm rightfully said last year about my next pick...
They literally set the template for how Samoan wrestlers would be portrayed for the next two decades, as well as training a large number of future world champions.

you can't say much more than that.

legends of the ring, just before the eras of vintage tag-team wrestling, but they were well ahead of their time.

and you don't train the likes of Bret Hart and help mould him into a future world champion if you don't have something about you.

as still as fúck, but immense. the quintessential Samoan wrestlers. they'll beat the fúck out of you, and mumble something unintelligible at you while they do it.
Afa & Sika (The Wild Samoans)

    4667070
they're Hall of Fame Video probably says more than I could...

    Slick's Roster:
    Stone Cold Steve Austin
    Jake Roberts
    Arn Anderson
    Tully Blanchard
    Brian Pillman
    Ray 'The Crippler' Stevens

    Nest pick for Team Flah:
The man known as the "Hulk Hogan of Mexico" a wrestler that has achieved fame everywhere he has wrestled, a big star in WCW as well as the mouthpieve of both the 3 Live Kru and LAX in TNA, he has bridged the divide into mainstream celebrity status in Mexico, as well as being the biggest star in liucha until Mistico came along. The man who was such a good worker that the great Bret Hart learned the Sharpshooter from him. Some people a have a strong Japanese contingent, but no one can match Team Flah's amazing and unique lucha libre division......

This is a very difficult choice to make. I never thought I would get number 1, so I was GOING to bring in a guy who has a lot of history with one of my main event guys. However, getting pick number 1 has opened up another door for me, and I feel I would be an absolute fool not to take the opportunity.

This man has serious history with Buddy Rogers.
Rogers claimed until his dying day that he had suffered a heart attack a week before the match and was dragged out of a hospital to have the match

This man has serious history with an Orangutan.
While working in construction in 1956, Sammartino wrestled an orangutan at a carnival. After taking much punishment, Sammartino punched the orangutan in the stomach and was disqualified by the animal's owner. Sammartino left the cage with swollen eyes and shredded clothes. Because of the disqualification, the owner refused to pay Sammartino the $50 he was promised for the match.

A great career, including the longest WWE championship reign ever...(then the wwwf championship) which lasted an astounding 8 years. JBL wont be so quick to boast about his reign now
    Championships and accomplishments

    Grand Prix Wrestling
GPW Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Édouard Carpentier
    Maple Leaf Wrestling
NWA International Tag Team Championship (Toronto version) (1 time) - with Whipper Billy Watson
NWA United States Heavyweight Championship (Toronto version) (1 time)
    Pro Wrestling Illustrated
PWI Match of the Year (1972) Battle royal on January 14, Los Angeles, CA
PWI Match of the Year (1975) vs. Spiros Arion on March 17, New York, NY
PWI Match of the Year (1976) vs. Stan Hansen on April 26, New York, NY
PWI Match of the Year (1977) vs. Billy Graham on April 30, Baltimore, MD
PWI Match of the Year (1980) vs. Larry Zbyszko at Showdown at Shea in a steel cage match
PWI Most Inspirational Wrestler of the Year (1976)[12]
    PWI Stanley Weston Award (1981)
PWI Wrestler of the Year (1974)
Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum
    Class of 2002

    World Wrestling Association (Indianapolis)
WWA World Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Dick the Bruiser[13]
World Wide Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Federation
WWF International Tag Team Championship (2 times) - with Dominic DeNucci (1) and Tony Marino (1)
WWWF United States Tag Team Championship (1 time) - with Spiros Arion
WWWF World Heavyweight Championship (2 times)
    World Wide Wrestling Alliance
Hall of Fame (Class of 2008)
    Wrestling Observer Newsletter awards
Feud of the Year (1980) vs. Larry Zbyszko
Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame (Class of 1996)
    Other titles
Madison Square Garden walk of fame
Received the Key to the City in Franklin, Pennsylvania as part of IWC's Night of Legends 3 on March 24, 2007

A true ambassador for the sport, he was a true star back in the post war era of pro wrestling. He was known to sell a few tickets.
Sammartino's wrestling style was more mat-oriented which was typical of wrestlers from his era. His brawling, power moves, and personal charisma helped him become the most popular American wrestler in the 1960s and 1970s. During the period when Madison Square Garden was the WWWF's primary arena, Sammartino headlined more Garden cards than any other wrestler (211), including 187 sellouts
So ladies and gentleman, it is with great pride, and pleasure that I can introduce a true star to the DQWF. The Italian Superman, The Living Legend, Bruno Sammartino.
