The word legend seems almpost inadequate for my pick El Santo. To say that El Santo is just a lucha legend would a huge understatement. He was more than a luchador with a parallel acting career. Santo is a cultural icon, a social phenomenon whose impact in the Mexican society is enormous in many different ways. Santo was a superhero like Superman, Batman or Spiderman - but with the difference that Santo was real and you could go to watch him wrestle every week, while the others were just comic characters. It's safe to say that Santo is the most popular wrestler ever in his home country, and he's more popular than Antonio Inoki, Riki Choshu, Lou Thesz, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and many others were and are.
To this day, Santo is still an important piece of the history of the country and also a relevant part of the Mexican folklore. Even now, more than fifteen years after his death, everybody in Mexico knows about El Santo. His films are still shown on TV from time to time and they still generate ratings after all these years. Many magazines (not just lucha or movie magazines) still publish Santo articles or even special issues.
One could say that as long as there is lucha libre in Mexico, there will be Santo, but even if there wasn't lucha, Santo would still be alive in the heart of the Mexican citizens.
His tag team partner in the legendary team La Pareja Atómica (The Atomic Pair), who incerdibly never lost a match in their career was another legend of lucha libre, Salvator "Gory" Guerrero. Gory was the patriarch of the iconic Guerrero family and father of Hector, Eddie and Chavo amongst others. He invented the "Gory Special" and is possibly the finest technical wrestler in Mexican wrestling history.
Team Flah:
1. Shawn Michaels
2. "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase
3. Stan Hansen
4. The Road Warriors
5. The Dudley Boyz
6. El Santo & "Gory" Guerrero0 -
I've done a search and haven't seen this guy picked yet so fingers crossed he wasn't. My pick for this round is going to be a man who has history with my previous pick and who is considered one of the greatest wrestlers ever...

right, plan B...
but what a plan B!
firstly, a man who is in the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame.
a multi-time champion in multiple promotions.
he was the Crippler before Benoit had teethed for the first time.
a man who boasts Buddy Rogers as his mentor...who called him...one of the most talented and graceful wrestlers I've ever watched and been a part of. He won titles at the youngest age of any wrestler I've ever known and was a credit to the gameRay 'The Crippler' Stevens
the quintessential villain.
here is the example of him work posted up last year...his work is way ahead of his time, and still has few peers...
and as a bonus pick, though that's a harsh way of putting it, but i was delighted to find this man was NWA Tag Team Champion with Stevens for almost two years...he's the man who The Rock called his Grandaddy...'High Chief' Peter Maiviaand here they are pictured together...

Fusion Pro Wrestling is delighted to come to terms with one of the best wrestlers to come out of Mexico. This man has brought Mexican wrestling to audiences in North America more so than any Mexican wrestler of the past decade.
Not only has he shown the world that Mexico has some of the best wrestlers in the world, but that they are leaps and bounds better than any Canadian wrestler, especially after his most recent feud.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to bring to you...
EL GENERICO
But he is not along. Generico has also brought along with him another techincaily sound wrestler, one that has made it to the big leagues of WWE, only to find himself back in the indie scene. But El Generico teamed up with him upon his return and the two have been tagging for the past year against Steve Corino and Genericos old tag-partner (A man we recently fired from the company due to El Generico being uncomfortable with sharing space with him) Kevin Steen.

To get this guy in his prime (which I do) when he was tearing people up is a fantastic asset to my roster and he fits in very nicely with guys I already have like Brody and Tsuruta.
MNG roster thus far:
1. Triple H
2. Christian
3. The New Age Outlaws - Road Dogg & Billy Gunn
4. Bruiser Brody
5. Jumbo Tsuruta
6. Big Van Vader'It is better to walk alone in the right direction than follow the herd walking in the wrong direction.'
