Everytime you prestige in MW3 you should get a prestige token which you can use in the prestige shop to unlock stuff, including custom class slots.

There is a fairly rare glitch where you prestige and do not get a token. As best as I can tell if you play a few games after you prestige, you should get the token but not 100% sure of this.

If you prestiged and didn't get a token you may be able to contact Activision to fix it?

Might do that, definitely didn't get one after 1st Prestige but got one after 2nd, close to going for 3rd one so will see then and see what happens after...

If your gonna play with the boards lads here then you don't need one really! If your on a team and everyone is playing the objective you'll win most of your matches easily!!

I've been playing with the b.ie crowd for a long while now and I've never had a headset! Still do fine.. granted you do miss out on the banter a good bit which is ****e..
If I was gonna get a headset it'd be to have the craic rather than for expert team play!

the banter with mics are great.. Sometimes it has made me want to play cod more than actually the game itself..

I've always had a headset, so I don't know what its like to not have one.. I'd rather the craic that ya can have..

Never had one so donno what I'm missing, tempted to get one now though if it's any advantage, cause I fecking hate losing playing with these attempted quick scopers who can't hit a barn door and forget we're triple capped!

You really don't need a mic to do well whatsoever.

If you're on PS3, I suggest using Skype instead of in game chat too. Sound quality is dirt on PS3 for the most part and somehow in CoD, it's getting worse and worse quality wise from my experience.

It's much better since the last patch but I agree it was absolute muck and in MW2 as well. Could never figure out how they got this so wrong. Sound is excellent eg guns/explosions/music and then the chat sounded like a faraway robot in a cave

mmmm just think I'll find a crowd to play with first then see about the mic after, Skype sounds the best way to go though, hearing not the best as it is so robots in far away caves wouldn't be great unless they are holding up big signs for me!

yeah after the recent patch ya can actually talk to people on ps3 without all the fuzz gettin in the way, its a lot clearer..

Ok while I know 1 person not having a mic won't cause a loss, I do know that when coordinating it's obviously easier and when relying on shoutouts to keep a killstreak going it's better that all 6 players have mics. I didn't hav. One for months and thought it was shît, it's no fun when ya can't join in on the craic! Private matches being a prime example

BOPS is ok, not great but manageable. Maybe the same could be said of MW2, I honestly forget. But comparing CoD4 to MW3 in game chat is vastly different at least on the PS3 and then there is my time on Xbox with CoD4.

Outside of CoD on the PS3 it's much of the same too with games like FIFA, Battlefield 3, GTA and so on with it being not all too good. Only in Tiger Woods and Uncharted in recent times have the quality been decent from my experience.

Oh and lot of people use bluetooth headsets on PS3 from what I've heard, static sound is feckin annoying. There are times were I just have to mute people on my team it can be that bad.

Oh. I never played COD4 with a mike/headset so didnt know. MW2 was awful. I thought Blops was marvellous but then I only had MW2 to compare it with. MW3 is now about the same standard as Blops/BF3. I don't play on XBox but general consensus is that their online stuff is better and I assume this includes the voice chat.

Definately different headsets on your team can cause interference on the PS3. I don't have a real problem with it but a few of the guys running wireless headsets do.

Party chat, when working is really good on xbox, game chat isn't great. It's a little fuzzy/static but you can hear what other people are saying

well if your on PS3 just add a few names from this thread for some casual COD games...

Granted a good few of the names there may have sold MW3 but by adding a few of us you can add the regular players when we are on together in a party..

You W:L ratio will rocket if you play with a party who play objectively!

Just add Boards or something like that in the text box when sending a friend request so ppl now your from here..

Spawns are hilarious. In demo you spawn behind the bomb more often than you spawn the right side of it. Terrible solution to spawn trapping

I thought support KS were a good idea at first but the more I play the game the more I'd love them to be taken out - maybe move EMP, Recon Drone, Advanced UAV , Juggernaut and Stealth Bomber to the Assault streaks and take out the Assault Drone, Strafe Run, Overwatch and Sentry Gun.

Might see a little less assassin going around if we had no more support streaks.

Also, I agree that Specialist is the bomb.
