Thatch has a massive height & reach advantage plus will be at least 180 lbs come fight time.
Only the absolutely smallest WWs would be 180. He's at least 190, but probably close to 200.

Yep probably 200, you can't beat diuretics these days to drop 30 pounds before a fight :D Just ask Gleison!
Someone will just have to shout "Timber" tonight when Thatch eventually gets chopped down!

After watching the weigh in the size difference is insane.

I had Bendo backed before the weigh in, unfortunately. Not as confident after watching the weigh ins. Biggest size discrepancy I think I've ever seen in a non-heavyweight fight.

Took Dan Kelly by decision at 13/2
Hoping Walsh's Weight acre up was legit and he fades by the end of the second.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,343 ✭✭✭✭callaway92

    Rodrigo De Lima
    Ray Borg
    Neil Magny
    Kevin Lee
    Patrick Walsh

Happy to put the 5 of them into an accumulator. Adds a bit to a poor enough card.

Top 2 fights are too close to call imo but I'm leaning towards Ben Henderson and Cole Miller to take them.

    Sweet.
Missed weight plus attitude wasn't a good fight. But as predicted. Odds were very high for the decision imo.
    €300 back on that

I had him by sub, a judo guy with most of his wins by sub, and he decides to box for 3 rounds! Painful.

I picked 80% of the winners, and still somehow managed to come out with zero $ lol, Kunimoto was surprisingly bad.

Going big on Ben Henderson/Nik Lentz double at about 6/4.

Thatch is decent and has a lot of hype but I just think the quality of opponents that Bendo has fought is in another planet, even if it was at a lower weight class. Ben wasn't exactly small at that weight either.

Christ. Got quite a shock when I saw my returns for this... Hadn't realised that the Nik Lentz fight had been cancelled. Ah well.

too feckin confident I was :(

I truly hate when a carer grappler decides to come out and show off his "new striking".

awful hard imo to find value in this one

torn between taking a load of shorties (brazilians) or taking a pop at
martins who I think is overpriced

andrade/silva/ferreira looks good at around 6/4

wonder is martins overpriced at 4/1?

even johnson pts at same price

so undecided on what to do

Dont see how Martins can beat Rustan, I would leave that one off. Andrade thats fighting Cody Gibson he is a much more interesting one. He's a killer and Cody Gibson is a bit susceptible to mistakes even if he is a very good fighter.

Yeah that Ferrara Alvey fight is an interesting one. Ferrara didn't impress me that much before. Even though he's probably a better fighter then Alvey he might not be able to handle the pressure and the heavy hands, Alvey just needs to land one or two decent shots to slow down Ferrara. Alvey is decent for an outside bet I reckon.

couldnt disagree with that tbh and after the cb ko I certainly wouldnt be doing ferreira in a single again
each time ive backed ferreira it nearly resulted in a heart attack
alvey probably weaker than hes faced though but you know he'll get hit five times to land one which might be enough

Cesar's odds to win by sub appear high to me. If I was him that be where I'd be taking the fight.

Yeah they are nice and he likes a sub.

Would have been nice if Andrade had finished Cody in that last fight, a nice start to most of my accumulators all the same!

you might be on to something there though I cant remember him having only fought once in the ufc
I see he beat shonie carter a year back and its sad to see shonie is still fighting despite a run of 2/9

who'll ever forget that spinning backfist when he beat serra
