    120kmh gusts recorded at Mace head according to Newstalk earlier on. Am 5 miles from it as the crow flies and not a bit done on the tunnel here. Pats self on back...........

    Flue off chimney flew last night. Broke a slate and landed beside car - could have been a lot worse. Windy, wet and rotten here now.

    Nice coat of snow, met Leitrim gritter he wasn't spreading much if at all ( must be bad weather or else saving for next year). Cavan roads are better.

    Was going to the mart and farther afield this morning until I heard reports of black ice on the N59, so that put an end to that.

    Broke the back axle in the van in half. Not a mark otherwise. The mechanic couldn't believe it
