    2 inches here on Saturday + 2 inches yesterday evening + 2 inches last night = no work for me today.

    Just went out and measured in the centre of the road and we have a foot of snow. 12.2 inches to be exact at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, its a build up since Saturday nothing has melted. It was 10inches at 2am so we must of had a decent shower during the night, no work for me and no school for the kids.

    Of to do my daily check on my 90 year old neighbour, God help her she feels stranded.

    Further snow showers will affect many parts of Leinster, as well as east Munster today and tonight. Accumulations of between 3 and 10 centimetres are likely until Thursday morning, with higher totals on higher ground with the risk of some local drifting. Ground frost will persist in places by day and will be severe Wednesday night, giving ice on untreated surfaces.

    That's amazing! With altitude and distance from the coast being in your favour, you must be in an ideal spot for snow. Contrast that with the almost insignificant amount that has fallen in my part of Swords since the weekend.

    you should be able to hit dublin, but not sure how close it'll be to the actual airport in this weather! :D
