looking at the charts the temps and dp should start to fall off somewhere between 12-3,

Heavier snow here now , but the flakes are a lot smaller,

    Weather site back up

    Temp 0.9

    DP -0.2

    Nom Nom :D

In Dublin 8, near the brewery, there is a bit of a thaw going on at the moment.

The weekend's snow is still on the ground, but anything that fell last night has melted. There was a graupel shower about an hour ago, which seemed to drop the temperatures a bit, but that has passed and the thaw has resumed. There are some very dark clouds to the North but not much is happening here right now.

Main roads in the area are all gritted, some are completely clear while others are slushy. Some back roads have compacted snow, making things a bit tricky for drivers taking the usual rat-runs.

Finally, the M2 buoy is taking a meaningful drop in air temperature and dewpoint. Showers should be more consistently snowy after 12pm, though the brief daytime heating means that we won't seal the deal for snow within Dublin city until after 2pm perhaps.

I'll be suprised if there's many more reports of rain or sleet outside of Dublin as we head into the afternoon.

Feels like it's going to be a long wait for that bank of cold air to reach Waterford. Temperature's up above 2 degrees now.:(

    And we're off. :D
    Heavy fall now near Clonakilty.
This on top of the other days fall (which never melted) is gonna be interesting.

Can anyone tell me if it is still snowing in Cork City? It started snowing after I had left for work. It was fairly big heavy stuff at the time.

    What does DP mean?

In the context of the weather it means dew point, but if you are looking up other types of websites it could mean something totally different.

Temp and dew points plummeting on the east coast, already there is snow falling here in the IFSC.
