€220 is very good value. I wonder if customs are paid yet. S/He could be selling it without accounting for the bill in the post in a week or two!

Surely bill for customs will come to a person who ordered. The way I see it now, it is a private sale sold as seen.

220eu is really good price, so I would be checking it VERY carefully.

Oh yeah, definitely. But I'm just wondering, if the person selling it paid €250, say so they see it as making a loss of 30, thinking they got away with customs. Then they get a bill for €50 in the post in a few weeks.

It's a big loss to make on the screen.

He has a nice gaming PC going and decent phone going for cheap, although gaming PC is slightly overpriced but still a beast and has good feedback. Must have decided to keep the Qnix or up the price. He has PC's for sale the whole time according to his history! PM and check about the Qnix, will probably stick it up for more money 2moro or in a few days after getting a lot of offers.

Reference 7970? They were released late 2011. Not even worth 280 imo. Worth 230 - 250 at best.

That ASUS G-Sync monitor that's being shown at CES? 27" 2560x1440 1ms TN.

Bah. Here's hoping there's a PA IPS variant.

Assumed so, seeing as there's no reference cards anywhere. I think business class thought me TOO well that everything that seems too good, isnt true.

But it isn't too good to be true? It's priced way too expensive in my opinion. If it was priced just south of 200 I'd be skeptical.

    Cheaper than any other 7970.

7970 can be got for around €250

a 280X (the same thing pretty much) can be got new on amazon for £238

Even less if you go looking online on some competetive German sites. In fact, MSI 280x was to be had for 222 pounds recently on overclockers. 279 is a horrible price for a 7970, especially one that's possibly several years old and has a poor (if passable) cooler.

The prior mentioned MSI 280x that was going for 222 pounds recently (they can be bad for even less if you really look online on some good German etailers) is cheaper, faster, quieter, has better overclockability and draws quite a bit less power. Not to mention it's NEW and comes with a 3 year warranty.

It's better in EVERY single way.

AMD had there one a few hours before NVidia.

Nothing of great interest to most gamers, some more Kaveri and Mantle details, but its was primarily typical marketing slides so until some independent benchmarks hit for both really nothing to be seen here.

I withdraw my earlier praise for eircom's efibre.

The service is great, unfortunately eircom are not so great.

Installed Friday, worked great all weekend, Monday some techs were up pricking about with the cabinet when I was leaving for work, got home and no net. Called Eircom they told me "the system is down" and that I should call back for an immediate tech callout first thing in the morning. Called this morning and got through to some guy with a broken headset, meaning I could hear maybe 1/5 words he was saying and eventually got the message that it would be AT LEAST 2-3 working days before a tech would be out to fix the issue for me. So I got 2 days of great service and now I'll be more than likely AT LEAST a week with no internet at all.

    Great.

Try having no reliable broadband since August. They are a scourge on the Broadband Network. I hate their awful customer care service with a passion too

I'd love to see the training their call centre employees get.

I've been told at least 4 times since September that "the system is down" and that I'd have to call back.

I've also been "escalated" numerous times.

They've put me down for 4 callbacks that never materialised.

Every time I call I inevitably get transferred to various departments nonsensically and put on hold for at least the first 15 mins of the call before I get through to who I need to be talking to.

Modular PC. FINALLY Razor researching something Fecking useful, outside of Mice.

The modular PC like this is The thing that PC needs. It would finally bring in the "scary cats" who afraid to build their own Pcs.
