The Razer Edge Tablet is pretty slick too!

English not first language lol. Overpriced at what it is. This modular design is something that would make sense.

I wonder if the seller knew it was on its way out

Im not sure as from the get go I was getting a black screen but supposedly this was a driver issue. Latest driver didnt fix it though and got alot worse so is unusable now

Surely a 290x would still be under warranty? If the seller knew it was on the way out he could have just RMAd it for a replacement?

Is it possible for you to RMA it or does it have to be the original owner?

    BOOYA!

(Limited to ~50/10 because of homeplugs though. That's off the server that's hardwired in)

    (Double post apologies)

Have to say, Nanoxia are absolutely awesome.

The front panel on my DS1 rattles a bit, and the front two fans click. I emailed them about this, asking if they could send me instructions on how to remove the doors so I could see what the problem was (the doors themselves being separate from the front panel).

The next day I get an email. They said not to bother, and that they'd simply send me out two new fans and front panel, and did I want to maybe change the colour while I was at it? (I did).

Two weeks later (bearing in mind, Christmas) I get the parts from PCCooling.de, and they've forgotten the fans. Email to Nanoxia and within ten minutes I get an email back saying they've dispatched fans.

That beats all previous RMA experience, including EVGA and Corsair.

Wow, amazing. How are you liking the new case? I have one myself :) Great fans, pretty queit too, even at full blast. Sounds great, though, the customer support.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Loving the case. It's not as nice build-wise as my old ATCS 840, but that was an all aluminium thing, so that's to be expected. Generally very solid, well built. Top chimney is a little bit more plasticy feeling than I thought it might be, but still sturdy enough. Can't really judge quietness because I have it running open with stock air at the moment. Overall, a definite recommendation from me for anyone looking at a Fractal-type case.

Side question: RMA to EVGA, where the hell do I find the invoice for my stuff from HWVS?

What I think should be compulsory in schools:

    - Learning how to build a PC

    - Learning Java

    - And learning how to build a simple website

My Profile ---> Order History? Does that count as an invoice?

There's usually a printed invoice in the box they ship?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Think I got rid of that... I assumed there had to be an e-version somewhere... I'll email HWVS and see if they can send me one.

Also: Apparently Nanoxia don't want the front panel back. Does anyone want a black front panel for a DS1?

Do this , but then click View Order confirmation. Down at the bottom , it's a sneaky link

-Edit , not quite an invoice though hmm..

Got it, thanks. Stupid UX design on their part. Who makes a link the same as a title?

He just said it black screened once on him also which was the start of it so then sort of did.
The cooler was an arctic accelero, noticed upon inspection, one of the small heatsinks was not on the ram (dont think would matter as them things couldnt cool anything anyway), the vrm's (vrm1) was getting to 100 and (vrm2) was max 70. Both seem really hot while gpu core was 45 max.
I think vrm 1 being so hot did the damage maybe. Not sure how that will affect rma and he had an asus bios on it. Its a sapphire card.

Reflash it with a stock bios if you can?

If you have a motherboard with integrated graphics it "should" be possible..
I dont think removing the Cooler Voids the warranty , But I'd check with the vendor. if you put it back somewhat decent they shouldn't care? and if they do , just say it came with missing screws

My sister has an unopened 290x going to be watercooled in next week or two, might borrow the screws off hers and try put it back on as good as possible. cant seem to shift the thermal pad residue from the other cooler off the vrms on the right though :( would be a dead giveaway.
Any ideas how I would do it on a computer with onboard gpu? I'm sure could borrow a computer with onboard to try it out.
The card boots up but has a blue screen down the middle so dont want to use it and risk making worse if dont have to.

Try some nail varnish remover on the end of a cotton bud? should clear it right off

Haven't flashed a Gpu in years you could use onboard graphics , or if your mobo has another Pci slot you could use a second card , It would be the same procedure used to flash the original bios to an Asus bios but with a Stock one.how-to-flash-the-bios-of-your-ati-cards?

Also just looking it up it might have a default bios switch? Like this one?

DPD are so damn useless, they were meant to collect a keyboard for RMA to Scan on Tuesday, then Wednesday and now today, they haven't even made any contact with us (DPD, I've been in contact with Scan and they've been fine), what can I do in this situation?
