Cs - go was on sale last week. Well worth picking up. I had low expectations after source but it was way better than i expected. It's what source should have been.

The way to play is proper 5v5 teams though but they now have a ranked matchmaking queue system similar to the likes of league of legends.

It's a lot of fun.

One game I did pick up recently (after lots of prodding from a friend) was Chivalry. That game is so much fun, I was actually giggling at a lot of the noises characters make when they die.

Unfortunately there's no actual dismemberment, but the overall experience is very... satisfying.

And yeah, it was. 66% off, which means it's almost guaranteed to show up on the Summer sale for 75% off.

I used to play CS a bit, but I suck at it really badly any time I've been away from it for a while. Haven't played the new one but I have 1.6 and source. I would make good cannon fodder though!

I highly recommend cs-go anyway. It's in the sale regularly anyway and well worth picking up even if you have the older ones.

I'll pick up chivalry next time it's on sale.

Not beable to ads in counter strike games has always put me off

Steam Compare will allow you to enter in multiple profiles to compare what games they have in common!

What about sticking something simple like HL2 DM to begin with - I think it's free for anyone with an AMD or an nVidia card.

Ah right. Yeah it's kinda jarring I guess if you aren't used to it since all modern fps has it but it is a more bassline and old school way of playing and really it's about fine tuning your aim.

I think the main reason for such large scale adoption of sight aiming was for console controllers to have variable sensitivity for quick turning or fine aiming.

Some of the guns do have scopes if it helps

It's not a great public server game. It's still probably the best team/round based fps game out there though when playing the proper matchmake mode.
