Well, I'm mixed race, grew up in a neighborhood (in the US) that was mainly mixed race or black people, and I was never really attracted to white people. I did have a crush on this one white guy when I was 16, but that was mainly because he had big legs and an enormous ass, and he liked A Tribe Called Quest as much as I did. I never dated white guys until I was in my 30s and living in Ireland. As I get older, I think my tastes are more cultural than racial/ethnic.

However, given the current demographics in Dublin, I'm hoping that in a decade or so there will be a significant subset of hot Afro-Irish 20-something boy-toys that I can prey upon are head-turners.

I definitely would but it would all depend on where they grew up and what culture they were exposed to. I have that women born and raised in somewhere like Nigeria do not have attractive personalities where as other people who would have Nigerian ancestry but born and raised in Ireland, UK or France are much easier to get along with. Physically there are many stunning black women so I would have no hesitation on that side either.

The whole light skinned/long haired girl thing is HUGE within the black community in the US. And there is definitely a cultural and media bias favoring women who fit that description. The history of it is too long to go into here, but it's ****ed up. Suffice to say that it was a big deal for a lot of black women that Barack Obama not only married a black woman, but married a darker-skinned black woman.

I think it is less of an issue for black men because it's a bit faddish... sometimes the "light-skinned pretty boy" look is popular, and sometimes, it's the dark-skinned 50-cent/Tyson Beckford look that's in. I think that in general though, the "Chocolate brothas" get more love than the "chocolate ladies".

Maybe because the women that grew up in Nigeria had to put up with a lot of abuse, possibly including female circumcision.

Would I go out with an African black woman? No, I don't think I would even a one night stand tbh. I find them intimidating to be honest.

Mixed race women are different and having had a one night stand with a half German/Jamaican I can't say their is anything special. Wouldn't date one either.

I like Asian women alot especially Thai and Filipino and would date them but never marry or have kids with. I find Caucasian/Thai mixed race women to be irresistible (google Terra Patrick maybe NSFW) and Thai/White mixed race would be about the only non Caucasian I'd ever consider for marriage and kids but it all comes down to compatibility etc.

I'd say in Irish society, White Men and Asian women and White Women and Black men are the biggest interracial parings.

Personally I don't have a preference or dislike for any particular race. A good looking girl is a good looking girl in my book.

There's nothing racist about being unattracted to black people or any other particular race for that matter. If it doesn't float your boat it doesn't float your boat. I know white guys who are unattracted to white girls

Just to be on the safe side, I understand that quite a few black people do speak English as their first language. I would happily go out with them.
