Sorry Jon, only caught the first 20 mins in the car. I presume it only took til 10.37 today before it stopped being interesting??* What did we miss?? How to properly grow beetroot?...Pat chowing down on some puff pastries??

*interesting is a strong word considering its Mary Louise giving her in-depth analysis of the constituencies. What is her appeal exactly???

I'm not interested in his politics but I think Joe Higgins was unfairly treated on PK this morning.

It was as if PK had a duty to allot him airtime for reasons of balance during the campaign and decided to fit him in somewhere.

There were a few callers lined up to ask quickfire questions and PK quickly moved from one caller to the next without allowing Higgins much time to answer them before politely ushering him out the door.

I forged an image of PK prompting Higgins to hurry along because there are banjo players and Didgeridoo specialists tuning up in studio 8.

As I said, I don't have time for Higgins' political leanings but I do like the man personally. I think he deserved better this morning.

Ye it seemed like a) he only had him on for a short while and b) he had stacked the deck against him..

Maybe a spring has come loose in Pat's internal mechanical workings?

A real FF love-in this morning. Healy-Rae and J O'Donohoe getting plenty of publicity and of coarse Pat read out the list of candidates for 'balance'.

They spent more time taking the p1ss out of them really, not exactly a positive piece on them or local politics in Kerry.

Pat and Marie-Louise had a right old belly laugh at some of O'Donoghue's 'classic' quotes.

Not yet. It was solely the public doing the grilling to be fair. :(

...you mean like with various RTE presenters regarding the inquest findings into Gerry Ryan's death?

Enda is on today. Dealing with the softball questions from the public pretty well. No mention of the 5 point plan or the FG website...yet.

Except for that annoying deep intake of breath, that he does when about to answer a hard question, he is not as bad as he is painted.

    Know what you mean...ugh. :(

Besides the stag hunting question, he came out of that relatively unscathed. None of the mad callers Martin got yesterday.

I had to cringe when he was talking to some gent about his mother who has voted in every general election....Something along the lines of:

"Mine's a few years behind yours but in still in fairly good condition."

Like he was talking about a car... lol... What a numpty!

His answer was almost incomprehensible. Even Kenny can't give a logical reason as to why FG are pledging to reverse the ban.

Anyone listening to this cussing scumbag talking to O'Gorman now about free legal aid?? ...the blood is boiling here!!:mad::mad:

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

    yup.

and he let slip why its going on as it is when talking about his solicitor

"she makes a bleeding fortune off me "

  • Registered Users Posts: 534 ✭✭✭PaulieBoy

    I wanna be a plane driver :-)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,425 ✭✭✭telekon

He was a gas man though. After mugging that kid, he only got caught by the guards because he didnt want to dirty his "new trainers" swimming across the canal...

FFS, theyre laughing at all of us.

Listening to the sums of money going to the solicitors now? The scum aren't the only ones laughing at us it seems...

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

i thought that was mad !

never saw a crim in "the bill" let himself get caught by the cops cause he didnt want to get his new trainers mucky.

but yeah theres a real institutionalisation going on there.

its the same in the familly law courts.

5 years to get sorted and a nice cut to the solicitor when the house gets flogged.

murkey doesnt even BEGIN to describe what goes on in our legal fraternity (and thats before you get to the ones actually commiting crimes like lynn and co. handy to have a body of your mates decide if your corrupt or not eh ? )

I think Pat might be wrong for once.

He suggested that placing an X on a ballot paper is in indication of a vote.

    I don't think so.

But then - Horror of all horrors - I could be wrong too :eek::eek:

Does anyone out there know the truth
