Don't worry there are loads of nursing students, they just wouldn't be the greatest demographic group to be posting on an internet forum.

You see the forum, is full of people who like to talk ****e. So comminications, journalism etc are going to be better represented here.

It's the same with the SU and societies in gererall around DCU.
People doing science courses tend not to be the most popular forum users.
This is because many are quiet wierd indivuals. I once looked into the science building in DCU and I haven't been the same since.

Personally, I only got involved in one soc last year. It was a serious sporting society and turned out to involve training at 7.30 in the morning as opposed to drinking late into the night and having the craic.
So I wouldn't be much of an expert on socs.

But they are a great way to meet like minded people, whatever your interests are there is probely a soc matching that interest. So you get to know like-minded people and all that. Great for first years.

I heard the UN one is a good laugh, but wouldn't know much more about it.

You are an in-coming first year I take it?

Well, its a renowned fact that people doing science courses tend to be less involved in the social scene. This also includes discussion forums, that is a proven fact.

Gererally, science people are total nut-jobs. I believe there is no asmosphere in the courses, people are too cought up in finding out what happens in the fantastic world of science :Z
