    Societies: Fashion and design society, definitley gonna take up a sport of some sort or a fitness class. The bootcamps sound fun! :P

    Course: Engineering omnibus. Just finished 1st year in Computer Science in UCD and didn't really like it so I'm in first year once again woo! :)

    Clubs/socs: Thinking of joining cycling club if I can get some mates to join with me. Plus the usual L&H etc. Also I would recommend Deutsch Soc, it rocks!

    Give it your best shot, thats what I did. Did well enough in all of the exams but just decided it wasn't for me. Also you should go into it with an open mind, mind you that's kinda hard now I've corrupted you ;)

    You might love it, the reason I dropped was principally my lack of interest in Computer Science :o

    Plus first years in Comp Sci this year have it much better judging from the modules, compared to last years first semester :rolleyes:

    Basically they've got more of a balance to each semester. There's three new modules there. In semester one of first year it felt like the only "real" comp sci module I had was Programming I. Did Algorithmic Problem Solving too but 60% of the class seemed to be doing it as an elective.

    Also, I saw you're gonna be doing "Found. of Math. for Com.Sc. I" etc. meaning you'll be in with fellow Comp Sci students, whereas last year we were in with about 300 others in two maths modules.

    Looks like they're taking good care of you too with this boot camp thing too!
