I'm an E cup so going braless has never really been an option for me. I wish it was, I can't wear cute little tea dress like Alexa Chung without giving people an eyefull :(

I'm a B or C cup, when I was in my twenties (I am in my late forties now) it was quite acceptable to be braless, provided it was not too obvious, and I never wore a bra. I am blessed with firm boobs so whilst you would know I was braless if you looked hard enough, it was not that I was bouncing all over the place. I continued braless throughout my thirties, even so this was becoming less common, but now I feel that it has basically become socially unacceptable to go without so I have started wearing them again, especially at work where I come into contact with the public.

What amazes me is that when I was in my twenties I would not have dared worn tops that show the amount of cleavage that is commonplace today, but I know that most girls in their twenties would not go braless in public even if "absence of straps" was the only feature that would make you know that they were braless. Funnily enough, other than the comfort factor absence of straps was one of the main reason I used not wear a bra, I know that there was the odd time that I gave a man (or woman for that matter!!) an eyeful when I leant forward, but it never did either of us any harm, and it seemed a small price to pay for not going around with bra-straps showing, but i don't think many youngsters today would feel that way.

oh god just reading this i grabbed my boobs making sure they're still in place:D

Its not just a question of age i would say, you could be 25 and not wearing bra and give it some time and your boobs will be neighboring your belly button before you hit 40.

Few of my friends that do not wear bra (whatever size they are) or the ones with kids have confirmed, sadly, what goes down does not come back up!

So even when i like not to wear a bra at home, hanging out and all, i will always wear a bra any other times, all day everyday.
They are a good size enought that i need to make sure they will stay where they should be for as long as possible.

And so far I'm all good!

I've heard many times that, for the vast majority of women anyhow, whther you wear a bra or not has little to do with whether your boobs sag--like the way your skin wrinkles as you get older, your boobs sag and really there is not that much you can do about it, and unfortunately some people are more affected than others. What prompted me to post on this thread was that recently I met up with a neighbour of mine from when I was a kid--she is about 7 years older than me and at one stage was your stereotypical braless hippy type, and still is to a large extent, including the rarely wear a bra bit. She would be way more busty than me. We went swimming a few times over the summer and we both remarked that a lifetime of near bralessness had done little to makes our boobs sag. She is convinced that it is all a con-job by the bra companies, I wouldn't go that far, but I do find it distatseful when girls where tops/dresses that leave large portions of their bras showing and seem to feel that if they left it off their nipples would be scraping the floor by the next morning!!

My boobs have recently shruken big style and now they are more of a little handful. Thing is now I can wear tops without a bra, but I kinda wondering am I a bit old to be wearing a top without a bra. I'm 34 and three quarters.

It's not that you can see them bouncing about, it's just that you'd know by the top or the straps that I am not wearing one.

    Comments please!

    P.P.
No Bra sounds good to me!

I am not sure if I believe the theory that not wearing a bra does not cause sagging. That might work if you never exercise but in my dance classes in university there was one woman (prob a size DD) who never wore a bra and not only was it painful to watch but her breasts were almost down to her navel by age 21.

You would probably be fine not wearing for day to day stuff but being rather busty myself I would hate to exercise without support.

Got myself measured at Bramora and I have gone from a not very well fitting 36E to a 34G.

How does the Panache brand compare to others?

I hate it that all the makes are different.

i wore a 34a from my teenage years till i was 20, i used to go without sometimes and it wasn't very noticeable outfit depending, i got measured and it turned out i was a 34c :o. so it turns out it was good for me to go without,

post baby im a 32D (i was shocked at the difference in size) but even so i still would wear certain tops without a bra, i have this one top i could NOT wear a bra underneath even the invisible bra's would show the way the top is designed, so if it wasn't noticeable, i would say go for it! :)

Yes, we take this rule seriously. No, do not pm us and accuse us of having no sense of humour. It's not personal. It's not us picking on you. It's the rules

So your first post and this last one goes against those. Please desist from continuing on this line. If you dont see the issue then maybe you're better off not posting until you get a feel for the place. Thanks.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
