em...did you see her in Hard Candy by any chance?

Nope, and only thought of that movie after I posted; I still stand by what I said however. Like DiCaprio funnily enough, another member of the Inception cast, Ellen Page is an actor whose very physical appearance can prejudice my ability to accept her in a role. From what I know of Hard Candy, Ellen Page's mousy, teenage appearance would have suited that movie, but like Katie Holmes, she may stick out like a sore thumb in other films.

DiCaprio envokes the same reaction in me as you find in Ellen Page. I find Page very watchable whereas DiCaprio annoys me, he was woefully miscast in The Aviator....too young.

The film in which he was nominated for an Oscar, won a Golden Globe and generally received plaudits from everyone for his portrayal of Hughes ?

Watch Hard Candy. It might change your mind. I do get what you mean about Katie Holmes...her Rachel Dawes was patronising to Bruce Wayne in BB and i always hoped that he'd smack her one! She was also unbelieveable as a cunning reporter in Thank You For Smoking.

But yeah Ellen Page can be a fine actress once she stays away from twee roles like Juno and Whip It

Christopher Nolan is an amazing Director! The Dark Knight is one of my faves.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine.

The Director and those 4 ^^ do it all for moi to go and see it lol

Looks very good. Gives me a vibe of T2 crossed with Minority Report. Leo Di Caprio lead role which is great but even better is it has Tom Hardy!

    Even the trailer confused me.

    Even the trailer confused me.

Aye but I'd rather have a trailer that made me go WTF than a trailer that basically told me how the film starts and ends.

    Looking forward to this myself!

Can't wait for this one. Most anticipated movie of the year. Shutter Island was my second most anticipated movie and that turned out okay.

And I love that we know next to nothing about it. How many movies can we say that about in this day and age? I mean we already know most of the plots for the 2011 blockbusters, for crying out loud. Awesome.

Christopher Nolan keeps getting better with each movie... Insomnia being a slight hiccup. Inception looks absolutely mind-blowing. Oh, and if you haven't seen it, by god, get your hands on Following. Excellent film.

Insomnia was enjoyable, nothing more or less. Better check out Following I guess :)

Looks trippy alright! I always enjoy Christopher Nolan films so I'm really looking forward to this. Looks like 2010 will be a big year for DiCaprio!

Saw the trailer for this a while ago, looks like it will be a good one.

This is why I love cinema, it stretches the imagination.
And anything that isn't in 3D is always a plus (please don't let fcuking Avatar ruin the film industry).

Insomnia was nothing compared to the original with Stallan Skarsgard, he was 10 times better than Pacino.

Haven't seen it so I can't comment on that.

So, technically we finally have an offical grasp on what Inception is about. This really doesn't give anything away but just gives us info, nothing most of us following this film closely haven't realised:
    L.A. Times wrote:
The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a specialist in the new branch of corporate espionage -- he's a dream thief who plucks secrets from the minds of tycoons after pumping them full of drugs and hooking them up to a mysterious contraption. The problem, though, is the land of nod can be volatile -- as can DiCaprio's character, Dom Cobb, who is a wounded dreamer after the loss of his beloved wife.

The movie may be Hollywood's first existential heist movie, and though that may not sound like typical fare for the air-conditioning months, Warners and Legendary Pictures are banking on the movie catching on as a brainy "Mission: Impossible" by way of "The Matrix"; the globe-trotting movie may have had its subconscious baggage packed by Sigmund Freud, in other words, but it also carries a passport stamped by Ian Fleming. DiCaprio says Nolan is the perfect director to turn that unlikely combination into a July hit.

"Inception" does have major computer effects: Several vivid sequences show a dream metropolis in churning calamity, a city skyline seems to fold in on itself as a dream begins to lose its shape and, unlike many Hollywood versions of dream surrealism, the scene has the look of a massive mechanical failure, not a morphing, liquid calamity.

Sounds interesting, I think, definitely one of the bigger movies I wanna see in the cinema this year. Full article here

Plus, the viral marketing has begun:
This is the supposed machine they use in the film: http://www.pasivdevice.org/ and this is the link you get after reading it: http://www.mind-crime.com/

Cool... It sound as if Nolan's been mainlining some Dick. (Philip K. that is)

Soundtrack is the exact same as Shutter Island!

Doesn't look great in my opinion.

Yowza!! I can't stop watching this new trailer, fùck-king awe-some!!!

An original idea from an imaginitive director who, after The Dark Knight, has a large amount of free control from the studio? Sounds too good to be true!

    Just 2 months away, baby!

Well, until we get the HD trailer here's the HD version of the TV Spots. Number 1 is my favourite.

    Spot 1

    Spot 2

    Spot 3

Right, well that's another trailer watched and I am still not 100% sure what this film's about. I think I have a general idea, but good luck to any marketing team selling this one. One thing's clear though: there will still be plenty of sweeping vistas and cityscapes that would have Michael Mann proud :)
