    2fm now

Oh sweet jeebus  Why do I feel Mammy has seen the damned "A" debate (I can only presume that's why she was on 2FM) as a godsend to relaunch herself on the public airwaves....yet again.

ffs, what part of the word "retired" does this this woman not understand?

Or is she using this current bout of media bed-hopping to realise the harbouring ambition of some triumphant return to public office as amnesiac dullards turn back in their droves to FF?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,978 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Is she being asked about FF policy on current matters or is it self pimping? I've said before she doesn't phone them they phone her. Blame the media for being a bunch of lazy dimwits with a very small phone book.

You're producing a show. You've a guest lined up for a particular spot. 5 minutes before you're about to re-contact the guest you get a call/text from them saying they can't do it. Panic! What do you do!?

    Call your mammy ...

Or better still, call Mammy. Mammy will never let you down.

Mammy O'Rourke. Saving listeners from dead air for 30 years.

Why would you want to put a watch on Mammy.?

She should be put on 24 hour watch in an isolated prison cell while serving a long sentence for crimes of treason against the people of this country.

She says nothing, and does nothing of any consequence.

She says a lot. Most of it is bullshít.

And her actions as part of the previous government have had very grave consequences for the rest of us and will continue to do so for a very long time to come.

Why Newstalk are giving her a platform to express her false shock and act as an apologist for her late nephew as they did again a few minutes ago is beyond me.

Does nobody else see the irony of her calling for an inquiry when it is the government that she was part of that should be subject to any such investigation?

Only in Ireland do we give former ministers a pedistal to voice their opinions and become agony aunts in newspapers, when it was their opinions (and lack of them) while they were in power that resulted in hardship and agony for the rest of us.

Funnily enough her last column was on Saturday. She took up a quarter of the page thanking everyone for writing to her and finished with a plug for her "new" book

She'll be on Newstalk Lunchtime in a few minutes talking about swearing in the Dáil & Seanad.

Its a pity she is oblivious to the collective national swearing from listeners whenever they hear her opinionated musings on everything and anything over the airwaves every few days.

At least some of her former cabinet colleagues who aided and abeted O'Rourke in their collective raping of this country have the good grace and hint of dignity to stay the hell out of the limelight.

I never thought I'd see :pac: on this thread unless it was mammy herself telling us what to do

Shocked at her absence from episode one of GUBU last night.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,338 ✭✭✭aphex™

She was on Ireland AM yesterday morning making chocolate eclairs in the kitchen with the Odlums chef.

TV3 trying to boost the Fianna Failure airtime quota before we enter the 3rd quarter of the year.

    Bizarre stuff.

Oh! Are we allowed to mention TV appearances here now? Because she was on Vincent Browne last week and I was going to post it in here, but didn't because this is the RADIO forum! :D

Get away with yourself and start a Mary O'Rourke Watch in the TV forum ... :p

I don't see the need for 2 threads. How is TV3 transmitted? Radiowaves or Lasers?

Perhaps a thread in the Paleontology forum given that FF are as dead as a dodo.

It's already out. It was top of the bestselling list as well, apparently!
Whether it should be in the fiction or non-fiction charts though is anybody's guess.....
