Anybody else getting STOP 0x0000007A and STOP 0x000000F4 BSOD. I have had more than I like and applied a hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/977178/ but that hasnt solved anything?

    Any solutions?

Often this problem is memory related. Download Memtest and see whether it shows up memory issues?

did you install any anti virus/firewall or other software that might be causing conflict? have you tried safe mode?

I have avast as anti virus and the default firefall. Its bugging me now as it is only sometimes after hibernation that I get a BSOD and upon reboot starts normally in windows and safe mode.

How would I know if there is a software conflict??

    Ta

The only way i know is to disable programs one at a time and see when the problem ends. Don't be on the net tho when you disable the av or firewall

Try downloading a free screensaver and try that out? Its a nice bit of experimentation!

Not sure where it is on Win 7, but its US Keyboard layout. Change it to UK/Ireland and it should be fine.

FYI there's an unofficial Medion support forum. Not much info on this PC yet but hopefully there will be.

This PC has windows mail in program file but it does not work. Is that because I have the 64 bit installed?

    According to

    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7network/thread/6251127f-e8c7-4abf-81ca-b321a4ccbf6d

Window mail in 7 can be replaced with windows mail from Vista. I hav window mail in vista and would like to copy it to 7 and then copy all my email. I am wary I might make a mess of the win 7 machine though. Has anyone done it?

Edit I tried it but cannot replace the winmail in the 7 with the one from the vista. Says i need permnission but i am admin

Also there is a program file and an (X86) program files. Which one is for the 64 bit?

I noticed windows mail is in the program files. But when I try to use it by clicking the mailto link in IE8 I get this message:

"could not perform operation because default email client not properly installed"

Has anyone been able to install it
