A €10 fine for anyone who mentions Lansdowne Road as the Aviva Stadium was my personal favourite from tonight. :D

Wake up ladies. Mike Soden is on tonight. Wonder will Vincent ask him any awkward questions. ;)

I'm watching for Emmett Oliver :D Seriously, I'm surprised at how easy Vinny is being on Mike Soden. There aren't really many awkward questions.

Seems like nobody has the balls to ask Soden about the escorts...

I don't think Vincent will want to get too personal. It might backfire on him!

Nice one Koloman. Thanks for sharing that with the class. 'Turbo Driver' indeed - sounds like a Boards.ie Username. I think I know the Butcher in question. Poor man. His ex-wife seems a right bitch. This might quieten down Vinnie a bit - like a Boy Racer been given a silencer for his exhaust.

Seems like it was only 6 years ago. *yawns*

The only thing I'd be worried about is if they called him "Mike Soden, frmr BOI CEO"

Ursula and Vincent seem a bit frosty towards each other.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,718 ✭✭✭✭JonathanAnon

yeah I kind of got that also... Not sure how much respect Vincent has for her...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭Koloman

Vincent suggesting that Fine Gael couldn't organise a p'ss up in a brewery! Brian Cowen on the other hand.......biggrin.gif

Loved Vincent's manic laugh when Pat Carey said it was all FG's doing! Tears were rolling down his cheeks.

Ursula was probably annoyed she was asked to stay up late.

What do you make of the TV3 show Tonight With Vincent Brown.

He gets a tough time on the Politics threads on Boards as being mad left wing. Some of them are right to extreme right-wing.

    Anyone watch it?

load of bollix if u ask me hehe sorry mate

There are two main things I dont understand about the banking guarantee I dont understand..

    i) Why was the decision left to two guys who know nothing about banking.. Like Freefall said why didnt they call in Patrick Honahan...

ii) Why they didnt enforce better conditions before backing Anglo... Drumm and Fitzpatrick should have been asked to surrender their passports and asked to sign on every day... Also, they should not be allowed enter any Anglo premises until the government were allowed to send in an independent auditor to estimate the amount of damage.... (well, would probably have those same auditors that were fooled by seanie's cooking of the books previously anyway)..

    Caroline Twohig, News Presenter

She's certainly a very attractive young woman...

I thought you were referring to Pat Carey!biggrin.gif

Pat Carey is always very calm, never gets worked up, is annoying that the more senior ministers never go on the show, don't think Enda Kenny was ever on it aswell, he probably would end up going home crying, Browne would eat him alive.

Leo didn't have to work to hard last night. Even though he was doing his level best Pat Carey couldn't help but almost put up the white flag when pressed by Vincent and Fionnan (who looks alarmingly like Socky from the Den) over Cowens communication skills, the "is it 3 billion or 4 billion adjustment?" and over the NTMA not lodging money with Anglo months before the crisis occurred.

I wouldnt throw that Caroline Twohig outta bed for twittering me blog.

Is it just me, or does Vincent have a predilection for hot young twenty-something females journalists? Theres been quite afew of them on the programme. I suppose he has no say in the matter, its probably just a pervy producer who is lining them up! Im not complaining, it abit of.....cough.. light relief.. after listening to Pat Carey et al for 45 minutes!

I was laughing at that too. He was being really serious saying to Pat Carey "It could have been Fine Gael that organised all of this" (basically putting the words in his mouth) Carey agrees with him and Vinny cracks up laughing in his face. Funny stuff!

I didn't see it, was the laugh that FG could not organise an piss up in a brewery let alone a scandal about another party's successful piss up in a brewery?
