    That sounds rough alright, the belt isn't exactly overworked. I can nearly read the writing on it at idle.
    Do you know is the engine interference or did the camshaft snap from something else?

    The belt snapped because the Rebar eventually wore through it and yes they are very much an interference design it was the piston hitting the valves that broke the camshaft.
