    Roll on Sunday!

Judging by that French site, seems like that is Dublin's next snow spell...not much elsewhere.

Caught the edge in Waterford city, very light dust.

It just teased us and never got going. Very disappointing considering how much places close to us got :(

Does any of my fellow Lucanites know what tonight might bring? Ive been trying to get on sat24, and yr, but they are loading very slow. Looking at sky weather, it seems the east coast might be done with snow now.
    :D

It looks marvellous at the moment.
We still had a load of snow left over from NYE that hadn't thawed so we now have at least another inch on top of the snow and ice.
Outer Ring Road was fine earlier but the estates weren't great. Now that the sun is setting and it's getting colder - we will probably see the roads turn to glass shortly, particularly if we have clear skies tonight.

Might have to work from home tomorrow. Yay! :D

    Hello all
I hope everyone in the east enjoyed today,

Sunday is looking interesting alright, a bit early to tell but it looks like some rain/ snow over the much of the country
12z GFS is a upgrade for Sunday, but it is a marginal set-up at the moment and we all know how hard it is to get snow in this country ;)

It's not just Met Eireann's forecast, it's output from the HIRLAM weather model used by several European countries. And yeah, it handled the precip pretty well today I thought.

GFS presents an amazing set up for Sunday and Monday. Widespread snow for the vast bulk of the island. This will change in the meantime but not necessarily a downgrade.

Might see something again over the weekend but its very rare to have decent snow in Waterford City so don't be surprised if those flakes we saw today are all that we will see during this cold spell.

    you can see yourself here

By the way, spoke to a friend there who said his Heuston to Limerick Junction/Cork train has been postponed as the train driver has been in a car crash on his/her way to work! Hope they are ok. They are awaiting a replacement driver
