Still one up after 12, but has just fluffed a pitch on the 13th....seemed distracted by a sprinkler head or something....and rolled down the hill from the green. Next, nice pitch on to the green, but longish put for par. But Aiken has made a bit of a mess his put.......but we don't see any more, because Sky insist that we all watch Chris Wood lining up his put.....eventually shake hands.....this drives me mad!!!! Eventually we are told Lowry missed his put but so did Aiken. Lowry still one up after 13.

Halved the 14th....just about. Very tight match. Winner to play Molinari this afternoon.

    Meanwhile G-Mac is 4 up after 10.

I'd say Sky would manage to miss half Shane's shots even if he got to the final.

There's a handful of matches going on and we're still missing shots.

    Par 3 17th. Shane to 15 feet(ish)
Aiken closer (10 feet) with easier putt.

Coudn't agree more. Particularly annoying this morning.....having to watch matches that are done and dusted, but seeing very little of the two very close matches on the course. Nearly as bad as the American TV channels who basically put on a Tiger and Rory show if they are both playing, and miss lots of really exciting stuff.

Anyway, both on the green on 17th, but Aiken has easier putt. Please Shane, roll it in!

Both good drives on 18th, Shane may have slightly awkward stance for second.

Feck. All square after 18. Off to the 19th.

    18th.
Shane hit second just off front of green.
    Aiken just on green.
Shane chipped into then off green to fringe. Aiken 2 putted.
Shane missed a chip in attempt from fringe

Shane in the water on the 19th. That's that. Pity.

Sky went to Ads for their tee shots.
    Aiken on the green.
Game over bar a miracle I'm afraid

Shame. He had a great opportunity there.....and Molinari is going badly this afternoon. Dammit anyway.

    G-Mac going very nicely.

2 under through 10, its only early but hopefully he can repeat or better his 2011 performance here.

Went to -1 and then back to -2, but has now fluffed a silly put and is back to -1 through 15.

Picked up another birdie to get back to -2. Drive on 18th is in a fairway bunker so can't go for the green in two.

Probably a good thing on that hole? Or are the tee's forward?

Par on the last, decent start.

Made his par on the 18th. Finishes on -2, and wind is getting up so it's a good round to have in the bag. Currently tied 6th. got some good coverage on Sky and some nice compliments form the commentators. Well done, Shane.

Shane really has a lot of fans at Sky. Not surprising, they always love the guys who obviously enjoy playing. Really excellent round on a course which wouldn't really suit his usual game.
