Coverage (from US) is diabolical. If a group is AS going down 18 then show all the bloody shots.

Game over here, this is gonna hurt.

And Fowler wins. What a sickener for Shane.

Fowler wins the group, not sure the head to head rule is great in a 4 man group.

Class from Fowler, there's a tough cookie under all those bright colours.

What a bummer. Lowry had that one in his hands.

That's a definite yeah? Coltart seemed to think Gmac could do him a favour tomorrow beating Fowler.

Id say Shane is absolutely gutted. Fair play to Fowler that was mental.

What does he need to do tomorrow? Win and he goes thru?

Disappointing loss in the end but fowler is a brilliant match player. Holed some superb putts when it was needed the most.
Hopefully he can pick it up again tomorrow and beat English pretty well

Im afraid he is out no matter what he does. Fowler beats him in the head to head even is he wins tomorrow and Gmac beats Fowler.

Something not right in format in that Fowler wins 2 and is through no matter whats happens tomorrow. If Shane had won he would still have needed to beat English tomorrow to go through.

For all the long putts Fowler drained it was Lowry himself who bogeyed 13 and 14 to give him a lease of life.

Second place still worth the fight for dollars and owgr points.

Is it only 1 through from each group?

Yeah, 2 rounds Saturday and semi/final on Sunday.

Stupid format now. Dead rubbers now in some groups tomorrow

I don't think we'd be so quick to bemoan head to head had it worked in Shanes favour ;)

Many OWGR points difference with a win tomorrow?

Desperately unlucky. But complaining about the format is hardly an excuse. If he had lost a match in the previous format he would also be on his bike!!!

I would not that it matters anyway with McDowells current form. Lets hope Shane has the drive tomorrow. Dead rubbers there may be plenty in sense of being able to win the event but 2nd worth a lot more than 3rd in your group.

Of course, 16 groups so top 32 as opposed to top 48.

I'm not complaining about the format because he's out, I'm complaining about the format because there are meaningless matches tomorrow. What's the point? Straight knockout was the best and most exciting format

Well yes I'd agree with that. It is what it is though. Hopefully they won't be showing a load of pointless matches tomorrow. A couple of crackers lined up Rory v Horschel, Louis v Bubba.

They aren't completely meaningless but I know what you mean.

It is just how the games play out. Some groups have winner takes all games today and if that means fewer matches get better coverage that's ok with me.

It depends on how many players finish on 2 points without winning their group. Those players will be in a multiple tie for 17th. Players who finish on 1 point will be in a multiple tie for somewhere around 33rd.
